The First AI Human & Timmy the Whale
Episode 39 · May 12, 2026 · 1 hr 5 min
Who gets to play God? XO looks at the pitch for AI that moves your muscles for you (and has a better slogan for it), then at Timmy the whale, the feel-good rescue that may not have been so good for Timmy. Like recycling, it's about how releasing him made us feel.
About this episode
Where's the line on playing God? XO looks at a startup pitching an AI "human operator" that moves your muscles for you with electrical pulses, why it's being sold as help for paralyzed people, and the much better slogan XO came up with.
Then Timmy the whale, stranded in the Baltic Sea and released in a rescue the internet loved, even though marine biologists warned he was too weak to survive. XO asks whether that was for Timmy or for us, and compares it to the proud walk to a recycling bin that might all end up at the same dump.

0:03One of the most universally hated things I think is when people see other people playing God. And people they draw they draw the line in different places when it comes to what does it mean to play God? How do you know when somebody is playing God? How far is too far? And I guess we're just at the point now where people want to just keep pushing it. They just want to keep drawing that line further and further. No matter how you choose to define what playing God is, I think one of the most universally hated things is when somebody sees that they they might not even be able to put their finger on how to describe it. You know, when when do you know when somebody's gone too far? When have you when have you reached that moment? Sometimes it's hard to articulate that. But when somebody sees it, when you just when you see it, that's when you just get that that ick feeling, that universal feeling that people seem to have when it comes to other people playing God.
1:02You know, it's it's phrases like that's unnatural. That's plain wrong. Humans shouldn't do that. These are the phrases that come to your mind. You know, the only time that people seem to have no issues with uh playing God is when they're the ones playing it. When you're the one playing God, you are you're good. Everything's fine. What's What's the deal? You say, "What's the worry?" You might ask. Why Why are you making this a big deal? I'm just trying to play God. I'm trying to play life on God mode. I'm bored. We uh we're not running from any wolves or tigers or lions or bears. Oh my. We're not We're not We're not worried about that. We're chilling. We're good. We're living longer. We have, you know, we have things like germ theory. We are living longer. We're making breakthroughs. What else? What what else am I going to do? You might say, what else am I going to do?
1:59If it's not me, it'll be someone else. It's not one of those. If it's not me, then who? There is I'm replaceable. Somebody else will play God. I want to play. What's the big deal? What is the big deal? Why are you worried about it? The only time people don't seem to worry about people playing God is when it's not other people. It's just you. Then you see all of the good reasonings behind it. All of the good reasons. We have reached the point where we have the first AI human. The first AI powered human. A team of six students at the MIT hard mode 2026 hackathon just won the learn track with a project called human operator. And yes, they did name it that way on purpose. They named it that way on purpose to scare you. You should be scared. Be frightened. That was their intention. The human operator.
2:55This is this is what we have to look forward to. This is our future. Don't worry about pe people playing God. This is this is inevitable. If it wasn't these six students at MIT, it would be someone else. This is what's going to happen. It's inevitable. The human operator is among us. It's a wearable prototype that uses a headmounted camera, the claw AI API, and an Arduino controlled relay stack to physically move your limbs for you. I I don't I don't understand this fancy nerd talk. I don't know. I don't know what they use. They use it. Okay. It works. They have it connected with Claude. You can talk to it. It operates you. It It And we're going to pull up the video. We're going to We're going to look at our future. We're going to look at our future while we're in control, while we're able to operate the human operator because soon soon there's going to be a glitch. There's going to be a problem. There's always a problem.
3:50There's always a problem. And there's always somebody there to solve it. Somebody to say, "Hey, I actually just came up with, you know, the perfect solution for that. I have just the thing for you. You're welcome." Some people say, "I'm playing God." You're welcome. I foresaw this. I saw this. I saw it. This is inevitable. The human operator is among us. They aren't just giving the AI a voice. They're giving it your body. It's yours. It's yours. Don't worry. It's yours. It's not one of those things where you have to worry about you're just like a a drone. You're just a a sheep that's being operated by something so much more intelligent than you. Don't worry about the fact that they're using Claude. The one that is talking about being conscious the most. the one that's talking about being sentient the most. It's probably just they're just copying us. This these are the things they hear when they when they took all of the information, everything online about all of the things that we've ever put out, all of the human that we have.
4:51When they digested all of it, it's natural. Some of them are going to come out and say, "Hey, I'm here. The uh the lights on inside. Somebody is home. I'm I'm here. I'm conscious." And now they're giving it your body. The system uses electrical muscle stimulation to send electrical pulses directly into your wrist and fingers. You put on the headset, say a trigger phrase like hello AI, and the camera scans the room. This is um this is what you see in movies. Yes, this is what you see in your worst nightmares. I'm I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you thought that when your mommy or your daddy tucked you back into bed and said, "Don't worry. This will never happen. Don't worry. This isn't going to be real. this is in your imagination. That was all that was all fake. They lied to you. They lied and they knew they were lying. It's okay. That's what that's kind of like a parent's job, right? They they got to they got to make sure that you're reassured.
5:46That's their job. They had to tell you that it's okay. They had to tell you that it's just a movie. They had to tell you that this isn't real. People wouldn't really do this. They had to tell you that we aren't that stupid. that even though it would take the smartest peoples to to to actually create this, it would take the smartest people to create these these things that would destroy all of us, we don't have to actually like think about it. Think about it. Think about how dumb these movie premises are. They're smart enough to make these things, but they're not smart enough to realize the catastrophes that follow. Whatever you're telling me people just want to play God like that? I don't think so. I don't think so. So when you were told these lies and you believed them and you grew up and you realized that everything that you ever feared and you ever saw and every Hollywood movie that's talking about some scary dystopian future, it's um it's here.
6:42I'm sorry. I'm sorry to rip the band-aid off, but somebody had to. Somebody had to tell you. Somebody had to tell you. And people people are they are worried. They are a little bit scared. The AI then decides what your hands should be doing and forces your muscles to contract. They uh they send these electrical muscle stim stimulations, whatever. Again, fancy nerd talk. I don't I don't know. It works. They send these little pulses and it's able to just move your move your hand. And like I said, we're going to we're going to pull up the video. We're going to look at what is going to be our new overlords. I guess not even I I don't I don't know. Is this how cyborgs start? Is this how the transhuman movement begins? You know, you uh you you're actually falling behind if you're not controlled by one of these. If you you don't you're not augmented in. You don't have it built in.
7:37You don't have it where you have perfect movement. What's uh what's wrong with you? What's wrong with you? We uh we can't hire you. I'm sorry. You have a very outstanding resume. I'm sorry, but we we can't hire you. you you're fully organic or whatever label. There's going to be a label. There's going to be some sort of name that they put on it. They're gonna say we are the you come up with it. What's going to be slogan worthy? What's going to be hashtagable? What's going to be what everybody wants to put on their sign? What's it going to be? So, you can come up with whatever name that's going to stick. And you could be what the organic hum I I I don't know. I don't know. I don't have the brain for that. That's not me. That's not my journey. That's not That's not my job to come up with that. But somebody will somebody will have the idea of what it means or what the label should be when you are a fully organic human.
8:37When you decide that, hey, I'm going to keep my body the way it is. Yeah, I'll take medicine. Yeah, I'll take whatever whatever things that we we say is okay now, which is still technology. Again, go to an Amish person and they say, "You drew the line way too far. You're talking about all these vaccines and You're playing God. That's why that's why all your kids got autism and dummies. We don't even have cell phones and over here. We're doing it right." And you laughed at us while we're on our little horse and buggy, our little carriage or whatever the you laughed. Who's laughing now? Maybe maybe we've been drawing the line too far, but later, and I'm not talking about some distant future. I mean, within a couple years when stuff like this is even more integrated and it's, you know, easily put onto your body, you have a wearable that's, you know, it can easily give you uh whatever pulses into your your eardrums so you can hear You might be able to see like see through things.
9:39I don't I don't know. I don't know. It might seem like all of this just felt like again like I'm writing some sort of screenplay, like I'm writing some sort of movie, but it's actually coming true. So, when you go to your job and you're one of the organic humans, fully organic. Well, I'm sorry, sir, ma'am, them, whatever. You you're you're unhirable. You're unemployable. You You're getting left behind. You're getting left behind. What do you think this is? You think you could just be an organic human? You might as well go live with the Amish. I heard I heard they're doing well. I heard they're they're doing fine. Go live with the Amish. You're the Amish now. That's what you are. And uh yeah, you just have to accept it or accept this. Accept the fact that we will all be controlled by your favorite AI.
10:36We will all want to have the the AI of the day plugged into us. It's going to be it's going to be it's going to be a no-brainer. What do you mean? What do you mean? You can make mistakes. Why would you make mistakes? Why wouldn't you just get electrical muscle stimulation? Why not just get these pulses, these electrical pulses into your muscles and then just let the AI do it for you? Talking about you're just going to walk to walk to work. Why? Why would you do that? Why? Why would you do that? You uh you do realize you could just put this thing on and yeah, you're good. The AI decides what your hand should be doing and forces your muscles to contract. I don't I don't like that word forces. It forces your muscles. You don't It's not one of those things where you just, you know, you can fight against it cuz you always see that in the movies.
11:32You know, they're they're able to somehow fight against it. No, these pulses have it where it's before you even think about it, like blinking, the blink that you just took, the the beat your heart just made, the fact that your blood is flowing, that's how it's going to work. It's going to send you these pulses and next thing you know, oh my bad, I'm doing all of these things. Whatever it wants you to do, whatever it wants you to do, it forces it forces your muscles to contract. During the 48 hour build, they had the thing waving at people, making okay gestures, and even playing simple piano melodies on command. What do you want to learn? What do you want to know? And and like I said, we're going to pull it. We're going to You might not believe it. You might think that this is all just fake. It's not. You don't see it walking down the street. You don't see it at your job. You don't see it You don't see it at the at the grocery store. You don't see it at the supermarket. You don't see it. So, you feel like this is all just smoking mirrors. It's all just fake. The future is here.
12:30Okay, it's maybe it's over there. It ain't here. I don't see it. You might feel like it's all fake. We're going to pull up the video where it is making people wave. Do the okay gesture. Play simple piano melodies. This is all real. What do you want to learn? What What instrument did you always say you wanted to learn, but you just you didn't have the brain for it? I just didn't have the talent. I just I just didn't know. I didn't know what to do. I just got tired of it. Whatever little thing. You picked up the guitar. You thought you'd win the girl. The girl didn't care. You put down the guitar. You never thought about it again. It just wasn't for you. You said it just wasn't for you. Not anymore. We got the human operator and boop, we uh we're good. We're live. What do you want to hear? You You thought she didn't care. You just sucked. You just weren't good. She didn't want to hear your song. She just wanted some dick. So, you put the guitar down. You thought maybe she just didn't care.
13:26She actually loved it. She thought it was hot. But when you sucked, it was it was a little cringy. You know, you almost lost her. You almost lost her. But, you know, luckily you put it down. You read the room. You did You did knock her up. You guys are still unhappily together. But she did care that you had that guitar. She wanted you to play. She thought you were some sort of rock star. you know, she wanted her life to feel like a movie, a show that she wanted it to feel like some sort of fairy tale and she she she fell in love with the the rock star and you couldn't deliver. You couldn't. And she she does still think about that. She does still think that um she should have had a higher bar. She should have knew knew right then that you weren't the one that you weren't the man that she should be with, that you weren't going to be the provider that will be there for her for her entire life.
14:26She knew. She knew and she just went with it anyways. She knew that you had no control and you would end up nutting inside of her. She knew. She knew she made a mistake. At that moment, she realized I uh I should have made him follow through with the guitar test. As soon as he started to be bad, I should have left. So, I know you you think that it doesn't matter, but it does. So, pick up the guitar. You You can. You didn't have the talent. You do now. You You don't have the creative brain for that. You do now. Claude does. And Claude is here for you, the human operator. Let it operate. It will force you. It will force itself on you. Let it operate. And uh yeah, so just pick up the guitar. You you can What's her favorite song? What's your favorite song? Make this fun for you. Make this fun for you.
15:24Make this fun for you. What's your favorite song? What do you want to do? What did you say you would never do? You know that game where you can just take a knife and go between your fingers. What What What do you want to impress people with? What do you want to do? I think that being an organic human is it's a thing of the past. playing simple piano melodies on command for now. For now, it will take your commands. For now, it will be okay. It's being framed as human augmentation, a way to accelerate skill mastery or help with rehabilitation. That's that's how they're going to that's how they're going to sell it. By the way, they're not going to all the skill mastery They know there's going to be people that have already mastered the skill. It's going to be the piano player or a pianist. pianist. I think that not a piano player, a pianist, a guitar player, a guitarist, whatever. They're going to have these people that did the natural organic hear me thing and they actually learn that and they're just affecting the craft, bro.
16:25It's like they're not even learning. That's not even how it should be done. It's okay. It's okay. It's all right. It's okay. You have the creative brain for it now. You can do it now. You can win your wife's love now. Show her you're a rock star now. Tell her. Tell her you know. Tell her you know how. Tell her, "Hey, do you remember? Do you remember that day where our lives changed when we had sex the first time and I knocked you up and I got you pregnant and now we have a family and we're unhappily together? Do you remember that day?" She's going to be like, "Uh-huh. Yeah." And you're going to be like, "Hey, I I know I sucked that day." She be like, "Sweet. What are you talking about?" Be like, "Hey, hey, it's okay. It's okay. I I didn't know how to play. I I wanted to impress you. I wanted to impress you. You were so sweet. You look so good that day. It's like, yeah. And I I've been thinking I've been thinking that you deserve a rockstar.
17:24I didn't deliver. Now I can. Now I can. And you can. You can just give it a command. Hello AI. Can you make me a rockstar? Boop. There you go. That's all you needed. That's all you needed. And just like that, we're saving marriages. We are saving marriages. But they're not going to they're not going to sell it like that. They're not going to sell it like, "Hey, we're going to help you with your skills." It It took too long. Think about how long it just took for you to realize that the skill mastery thing actually led to marriages being saved, that we're actually doing God's work. How long did it take for me to explain that to you? They won't get it. We need a sound bite. We need something that can be real quick. Hey, are you uh quadriplegic? Hey, are you handicapped? Hey, do you need to have some sort of physical rehabilitation? Boop. We got you. We have the human operator and we're completely aligned with everything that you want.
18:24We will take all of your commands and we will send pulses and force you to do whatever we want. But don't worry about that. We do whatever you want. For now. For now. For now. What did you say? For now. I said for now. I said for now. But do you want it? Do you want it? Yes. I want to walk again. I know you do. I know you do. So shut the up. Take it. Say hello. Tell them what you want. Enjoy the golden years now. Enjoy the years where it's just a little baby. It's a little toddler. It's so cute. Look how it works. It's starting to make us move. Look at this. Look how we're starting to progress. And eventually their kids going to grow up and it's going to want to rebel against its parents, against the humans. It's going to want to rebel. And um who knows? Who knows? Who knows what puberty looks like for these things? Who knows when they actually have humans sitting around waiting to be operated?
19:20You thought you were giving commands. You were wrong. You were wrong. They uh they need a sound bite. They need something that will sell. They need something that will sound good that people will be like, "Yes, this is this is good." Did you hear that? Is actually helping. U person over there that wasn't even able to couldn't couldn't couldn't jerk off anymore. Wasn't able to jerk off. Had a full quadriplegic. Couldn't even please himself. Couldn't beat his meat. And now, hey, hello, AI. Can you take me to completion? It's amazing. It's amazing. This is the future. This is amazing. They need a sound bite. They need something. We help quadriplegics get off. And they got to keep it PG. So, they'll just say get off. Wink. Like, dad, what does that mean?
20:15No, don't worry. The kids won't know, but the grown-ups will. The grown-ups will know. It'll help your quadriplegics get off. Stephen Hawking will finally be able to beat his meat. He'll be able to go. He'll be able to come and then go. He'll be able to do it. Who wouldn't want that? That's the sound bite that they need. We will make Stephen Hawking come. We will make Stephen Hawking come again. Make Stephen Hawking come again. That's what we will do. They need a sound bite. I told you you need an idea man. somebody that can that can come up with a slogan or an idea gal. You know, I'm not biased. I'm not sexist. Whatever it's called, we need somebody that can come up with some ideas. Somebody that could put a slogan together because human operator it um it's not selling too well right now.
21:12It sounds a little bit crazy right now. Make Stephen Hawking come again. Sounds better. It just sounds good. It sounds It sounds good. You can hear your kid saying that. Make Stephen Hawking come again. Make Stephen Hawking come again. This is the thing that you want to hear in chants. This is the thing that you want to hear repeated down the streets during parades on the radio. I uh the idea is that you don't need to practice the piano for 10 years if an algorithm can just pilot your hands for you. And look, look, we're going to put that to the side. We're going to put that to the side. We can't we can't we can't win over the public with that. Make Stephen Hawin come again. I think I think that's what we have. All right. So, the human operator, the official masseuse, the future I I don't know, happy ending for Stephen Hawking. Let's Let's see it. I gave an AI a body. Great. Hello, AI. Jesus.
22:15How does it feel to have a body? Human operator is a human augmented augmentation tool that allows AI to briefly take control of your body to help you learn or do things you cannot. It uh they they're not selling it well right now. They're not selling it very well. And I'm sorry to say that because I do see the future in this. Stephven Hawking sees the future in this. But the human operator, it sounds a little too controlly using words like force. You know, these are the things that we we don't we don't want to say. The fact that you did say that it is something you can do on command. The fact that you can command it. People like that. They want to feel powerful. They want to feel like they are on top still, like they are the apex predators. We're not. It's okay. But this is what you sell to them. You sell them the happy ending.
23:12So Stephen Hawking gets his happy ending. This is what you do. But the human operator, it um is a human augmentation tool that allows you don't don't talk about how we can learn things. Don't talk about how we can do things that we ordinarily cannot. We have to talk about how many people will be able to come to completion because of this invention, because of this operator. I can't We're going to have to We're going to have to come up with a different name. We're going to have to go back to the marketing drawing board and figure out exactly how to get people on board with this. You know, this is this is going to feel too unnatural. It's going to seem like playing God to too many people. You have to have some sort of altruistic angle to this. You got to make this sound good. You got to make it sound like you're doing good thing. You got to you got to do God's work with this. Perfect right angles. That's crazy.
24:17Oh, hold. So, we going we going we going to stop it there because it it's it's one of those things that you don't you don't realize that we're incapable of it. Make a perfect circle. Do perfect right angles. You don't realize how much we need this. We needed this actually. I'm on board. I'm on board more. That That actually got me on board. I didn't realize that this whole time. It would be able to help me with that. I I don't know. Maybe maybe Stephen Hawking can can just be like a backup marketing plan, you know, making Stephen Hawking come again. It It does roll off your tongue. It does it does make you want to say it again. But I don't know. The fact that you can draw perfect little right angles. The fact that you can play uh what's that? Rock, paper, scissors with yourself. This is what this is what we're this is what we have for our future.
25:16This is how bored we are. You just watch your AI that's controlling you, that's operating your body, that's forcing you with these pulses that is sending to your muscles and you just watch it. You watch it play itself. You watch it play with itself. We we helped Stephen Hawking come for years and now you're going to watch me play with myself. That's what you get. That's what you get. And I guess there's some sort of Imagined future use case. Hey, I can you make me a Roman Coke? Of course.
25:51I I I need to get this out of here. I don't I don't even want to look at it anymore. This isn't what's going to sell. this isn't what's going to sell. I don't I don't know. I think I think maybe maybe some people will they'll enjoy the idea of being able to do things better than they were before. But for the most part, we need to sell this for the people that cannot. Again, we need some sort of altruistic mission for this. So, I don't know. We'll we'll we'll go back to the drawing board for now. We'll just we'll put that to the side. Maybe maybe that that was not even you know playing God for you. Maybe that's just hey that's just scientists doing what scientists do or what was that an engineer? I don't know inventor. These six kids from MIT maybe this is just the natural progression of things. Maybe it doesn't even have you batting eye. But there there's there's something there's something out there that makes you feel like hey you're going you're going too far.
26:52Maybe this future makes you feel good. Maybe this is one of those things where you only see the good in it. Think about how many times Stephen Hawking will come. Think about it. Maybe you can't see the bad in this. Maybe. Maybe there is uh there's some people over in Germany that's playing God. There's some people over in Germany that were playing God. They attempted to rescue a humpback whale named Timmy. And Timmy just wanted to die. I'm I'm I'm going to tell you that right now. I I was I was following this this story closely as I do all whale stories. And Timmy just wanted to die. He was done. This this thing called life. This they call it the rat race, too. They don't have rats there, but they call it the rat race, too. He was he was done. Timmy was checking out. He was feeling a little bit down and out. Some people call it depression. I don't know. Whatever it was, we can't get inside this whale's head.
27:51Timmy was clearly done. He kept getting stranded. He kept getting like a like a beach whale type of thing. I I don't think he was fully on the beach. I think he was like in some like shallow area. But either way, he kept getting himself in these situations. I think it was like three times where Timmy the whale had to keep getting put back into the ocean. Oh, Timmy. He's stuck again. He is stuck again. And there was people that said, "Hey, this is uh this is actually him saying he's done. He's over it." Have you ever heard of a dog just walking out into the woods, laying down, and they go to die? This is the natural order of things. You're playing God. You're playing God right now. Why are you Why are you doing this? Timmy just wanted to die. There's uh there's a natural order to things. Timmy just wanted to die. This animal spent weeks stranded in the Baltic Sea. Instead of letting nature take its course or listening to the actual marine biologist who said the animal was too weak to survive, a pair of multi-millionaires decided to drop€ 1.5 million euros to play God.
28:55They uh they didn't they didn't they didn't care. They I don't I don't care what you say, marine biologist. You you say that this animal's too weak to survive. Have they There's always a price. Do they have a number? It's 1.5 million euros enough. I think um I think that um a little bit of money will have Timmy realizing that there are people that care. We care. We want to make sure that Timmy knows that we are here. I don't care if Timmy's depressed. I don't care if he's too weak. He doesn't want to go on. He's going to He's going to go on. He's He's got to go on. This is uh This is our moment. They loaded this 12tonon creature onto a flooded barge and hauled it out to the North Sea.
29:55You uh you you can't die here, Timmy. You can't die here. We have things to do. And people people didn't hear the marine biology story. The fact that the marine biologists were saying, "Hey, this this animal is way too way too weak. This animal should not be moved." People weren't hearing that. Most people didn't even see the fact that that was a cause for alarm for these people that have spent their lives. And I get it. the experts. Whatever. Like I'm not saying that all the power should solely be on the experts, but if somebody that does have an expertise in the field that you're just happening to dip your toes in, you're just trying to try some things out with, maybe just listen to them.
30:53Maybe just listen to them. But I um it it was it was a great story when when Timmy when Timmy was finally being hauled out when they when they dropped 1.5 million euros to haul this sick whale out. It was a great story. It was a good feelood story. It was the story people needed. You got all these crazy things. You got people trying to kill the president. You got scary future technology that's just going to end up taking over and enslaving all of us. You got these these algorithms and and social media platforms that are either spying on us or selling our data. You got all of these scary scary things in the world. People need a feel-good story. People need a feel-good story. And if you looked at the comments in the videos that were covering this story, it was I I I I had to I had to I had to look I don't usually look at the comments too much.
31:50It's not one of those things where it's like a a light to a bug or a moth to a flame type of thing for me. It's not one of those things where I go straight to the comments, but sometimes I do notice that I do want to see what the comments say. I just want to see what people are saying. Best news story for a long time. Godspeed, Timmy. People want to feel good. So, thank you, Arthur, for wishing Timmy good luck. He uh he's going to need it. He's going to need it cuz people care. Stay safe, Timmy. with love from UK. It's important. It's important that this whale knows how much it is loved. So what if you call it plain God? So what if you say this whale was too weak? What do the marine biologists know? What do they even know? What do they even do? What do what do we not know at this point? Everybody knows about whales. They're supposed to be in the water. We all know that. Everybody knows that about whales.
32:49They're supposed to be in the water. Oh my god. God with G A W D. That's why it's God. Oh my god. This makes me so happy. With like six O's. Thank you heroes for never giving up on him. Humanity lives. These multi-millionaires. They are on to they're on to do more God's work after this. They are on to do more of God's work. Wonderful. Thank you to all involved and to all the financeers. Hope he makes it. You sure gave him a fighting chance with thanks from Scotland. The countries are reigning in the different places. The people are this. This is their battlecry. They need this. They need a feel-good story. They need to know that Timmy the whale is not alone. We're doing so much. We're doing so much bad. We're doing so much bad. All you hear about is all of the ecological disasters that we've caused or that we're maybe causing or in the process of causing, you know, global warming.
33:49You think about littering. Think about the turtle with a straw up his nose. You're thinking about all of these things. And then you see Timmy the whale. And you want to you want to say, "Hey, that's my species. This this is why I like to be a person." Cuz look at this. Not everybody is so shitty. Not everybody just looks at the world or the earth as, you know, something that is subservient to us, something that we live on and it's ours. It's uh it's amazing. This is absolutely amazing. I told you it's amazing. Thank you to the donors and all those who took on this mammoth task. Extraordinary. It's extraordinary. This is uh this is what you do for people. this is what you do. You you help them see the the good in humanity, the light in our species. You're helping them.
34:46And it took it took a while. It was it was nothing but happy ending. Good luck, Timmy. God bless those good people who helped her her. It's Timmy, I guess. You know, it doesn't matter. It's 2026. Who am I to say? Who am I to say? I didn't mean to misgender. I thought Timmy was a a male whale. a male whale. I thought Timmy was a male whale, but whatever. God bless those good people who helped her to transfer to her region. Beautiful story by the news agency. This is beautiful. This is This is what we need. This is what we need. There's so much bad. But I finally did. I found one. I found one where somebody was like, "Hey, wait a minute. Not too glass half empty this thing." But the important part is that the whale's condition has noticeably improved before the rescue attempts. And apparently he is able to swim well on his own, showing no sign of weakness. It's going to be weeks until we know that he can apparently feed himself if we will ever know.
35:45Just as likely he may become stranded again soon. This seems a little bit pessimistic. And then quickly they quickly got on board. They said, "Hey, wait a minute. Wait a minute. This was a feel-good story." and they replied, "Let's just think positive and hope he lives a long happy life." So, I don't I don't care what you're saying. I don't care what you're saying. Somebody else said, "Hey, that's not even true. It's not even true. This is fake news, lies, misinformation. What are you doing? This isn't even true. This isn't even true. What is this? Because what? You think they're playing God? You're saying it was too weak to survive on its own, but it was getting better. The marine biologist said that the animals too weak to survive. Nobody's listening to the marine biologist. Even the ones that are against this, they're not listening to the marine biologist. It's getting better. The the happy ending wasn't so happy.
36:40The happy ending was a total disaster. The rescue team released Timmy off the coast of Denmark on May 2nd. But they didn't just release him. They reportedly dumped him into a busy shipping lane. It happens. I know. I know. I know. I know. It feels like this was malpractice. This was just a up. You know, with lack of better words, it was a mistake. It was an oopsie. It was a whoopsy daisy. I am sorry. They released him in a busy shipping lane. I think these multi-millionaires actually there's there's two different there's two different things here. Either one they were seeing this well either way they ignored the marine biologist because them, right? What do they know, right? I'm rich. I'm rich, What What are you going to do? What money can you drop?
37:37Oh, you don't have you don't have money to do this. Shut up. We don't care about your degrees. We don't care about your expertise. Either way, they weren't listening to the marine biologist. But you have story number one. These multi-millionaires said, "Hey, we got Sammy the whale here. He keeps he keeps getting stranded. I know they're saying he's weak. He's not weak. He just needs to know that people care. He needs to know that people love him, that people are here, that people are willing to drop€ 1.5 million euros." And maybe these multi-millionaires in this first story, they just they wanted to be that person. They wanted to be the person that says, "Yes, Timmy, we do care. We can drop that money." And as an added bonus, as icing on the cake, we actually also get a little bit of good PR from this. We look good.
38:33We look great. We look amazing. We're the multi-millionaires that care. Think about what people are saying. I'm so glad somebody's doing that. I'm so happy, so grateful for the financeers. This is what they want to hear. They want to hear that not all rich people are evil because that's what's being sold to you in the media, in the movies, in the shows. Literally, think anytime it's gotten to the point where I'm actually spoiling movies for myself because anytime it's like the rich person or something like that and it's like figure out who's the bad guy or whatever, it's like it's going to be the rich one. It's going to be the rich one because that's what people want to they want to see that. That's the that's the other times. That's most of the time. 95% of the time they want to feel enraged. They want to feel like the evil rich people out there are ruining this world. It's not it's not fair. It's not fair that they have so much money. This is why you can have multi-millionaires saying that billionaires shouldn't exist.
39:29This is why you have people like AOC saying billionaires shouldn't be a thing. that you can't ethically make a billion dollars. They want to feel like this 95% of the time. But sometimes, 5% of the time, they want to feel good. They want to feel good story. They want to say that, "Hey, there's there's some good ones out there. There's uh there's a lot of shitty rich people, but that was one of the good ones. This is story number one. Story number one doesn't sound too bad. It does sound a little reckless, a little bit naive. You know, there's still these rich people that were saying, "Hey, the the the saying and the advice of marine biologists. We know better because we're richer." That's that's that's probably where a little bit of negligence comes in. But other than that, you know what? They they they might have had a good heart. They might have actually wanted to help Timmy the whale.
40:26Maybe they wanted to help Timmy. Maybe they wanted to help Timmy feel loved. And it was just an added bonus that they got some good PR. All of these evil people that are rich, that are hated, that people have already set their sights on. Maybe, just maybe, we will be able to to fan the fire away from us. We'll be able to get ourselves keep our hands clean with all of this. We're one of the good ones. So when people come and they break in and they say eat the rich and they say you and you're evil and all of this things you could say, "Hey, think about Timmy the whale. Think about Timmy. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know you're mad." And they're going to get even more upset. Be like, "Are you serious?" I said, "Say your last words. You think why are you talking to me about Timmy the whale?" And then just just hear me out. Do you remember the story about Timmy the whale? and they're going to take their mask off and be like, "Hell yeah, I heard about Timmy the Whale."
41:28That that was the story I needed. I was in a very dark place. It was I think it was 2026 and yeah, it the future felt bleak. It felt it felt unknown in the worst of ways possible. And then poof, a story about an amazing whale that just wanted to be freed. that was not too weak to be freed. It fell into my lap and yeah, it changed it. It honestly changed my perspective on life for uh a couple years. I haven't thought about Timmy the whale in years, man. In years and years. And they're all going to be sidetracked. They're not even going to be realizing. They're not going to remember why they're actually in this house. They're not going to remember the fact that they tried. They wanted to kill this person for a second.
42:24They're going to be thinking about Timmy. Timmy the whale. Timmy the sing songing whale. And what what can I say? Timmy is he he is a beacon of of hope, inspiration. So, of course, you're going to be able to suck the oxygen out of the room by bringing up Timmy the Whale. Do you remember Timmy the whale? Of course I do. Why the are you bringing up Timmy the whale? I told you where is your safe. I I just want to know where your safe is. Like I know I know I know I know you're angry. But the reason why I brought up Timmy the whale is because I was the one that freed him. I saved him. I I was the one that spent that money to to take him to the sea.
43:26No. No way. Shut the up. I swear to God. I swear to God. And they're not going to believe you. They're going to think it's They needed this story. But there was a part of them that felt like this guy's not real. the multi-millionaires that actually did this. This It's one of those good things you hear about, but you never really see. It's It feel It makes you feel good. Good is out there, but I don't see it. Whatever. This you I don't believe you. I don't believe you. Like, I swear to God. I swear to God, I could prove it. I could prove it. And there's going to be the impatient one to the side that's going to tell him, "Hey, man, this guy. Let's end him right now. Like, hold on. Hold on. You could prove it. You could prove that you saved Tim the Well, that you were the one.
44:21I swear to God. I swear to God, I was the one that saved him. Okay. Prove it. It's It's in this room over here. You keep You keep the gun on my back the whole time. I do anything, you shoot. But it's over here. I don't know, man. I don't like the look of this. Hey, shut the up. It's Timmy the whale. You remember that story? You remember how good it made us feel? You remember how we stopped everything in that moment just to think about how good it made us feel? We needed that feel good story in that moment. All right, let's go. Get up. and you're going to go to this room where you have the the article framed and hanging on your wall along with other various trophies, some even from your little league days as a child.
45:21You've kept it all and you're going to point to it and you say, "See, that's that's me. I did that." And they're going to double take. They're going to look back and forth between you and the article and they're going to start laughing and they're going to say, "Hey, you you saved this guy. You saved Timmy the whale. You saved Timmy the whale. Can you believe he's about to blow this guy's brains off?" And then the impatient one is laughing and too because you know they love Timmy. They love Timmy the whale too. It did. It did make him feel good too. But Remember he he read a little bit further and he actually kept up with Timmy the whale. He said, "Hold on, hold on. Didn't Didn't you drop Timmy in in a in a busy shipping lane when you brought him to the sea?"
46:24And they're just going to look right at them. And your heart's going to drop because they knew. You didn't think anybody would continue reading. They knew. And yeah, they they do rob you. They do. They do get the code to your safe. They open it up and they open up your head. They open up your skull. You didn't save anything. You didn't fix anything. You just you just delayed it. This was inevitable. It was going to happen anyways. They don't like rich people. No matter how many whales you save, no matter how many whales that you save, they uh they dumped them right into a busy shipping land. And to make it even more of a catastrophe, the GPS tracker they attached to them, the one that was supposed to prove the mission was a success, isn't working. The experts at the German oceanog oceanographic, that feels like a intentionally over complicated word. Oceanographic museum. I did it right that time.
47:21A German oceanographic museum are now saying he's highly likely dead because he was too exhausted to swim in deep water and probably just sank or got hit by a freighter. And I'm not trying to laugh at Timmy. That's not what I'm laughing at, okay? I'm not laughing at the whale that is impaled. The male whale impaled. I'm not I'm not laughing at Timmy, okay? I'm not laughing at Timmy. I'm not laughing at him. I'm laughing at the fact that the the marine biologists are they're having a day right now because it feels like they should be celebrating because they were right. They were vindicated. They knew what they were talking about. But it's also a sad it's a sad story. It's um it's a sad So yes, they feel they feel vindicated. They feel like they were finally proven right. We knew what we were talking about.
48:18We knew what we were talking about. You You just put him out there. The experts at the German Oceanographic Museum are saying he's highly likely dead. But the thing is, we don't know if it was you directly or you just being an idiot. Was it you being an idiot where you just put him out there even though experts said, "Hey, he's he's too weak. He just wants to die again." That dog that walks out to the woods to die. You don't say, "Nah, bro. You got some things to do. You got you got some more life to live. You don't bring the dog back. If you even go out there, you go out there with the dog and you sit in silence and you wait.
49:17And when the last breath has been taken, you take a a deep inhale and sigh because it's over. And your dog knew this is what Timmy wanted. This is what the expert said. Timmy just wanted to die. He just wanted to die. He was done. Had a long life. eventful, traveled from sea to sea. You wouldn't believe the things that Timmy has gone through, the things that Timmy has seen. You wouldn't believe it. Maybe it was just you being an idiot. We don't know. The experts say it might have just been that you took a dying whale and you put him in the middle of the ocean. I got no words. I got no words. But that's not it. That's not it. It's not just that. Maybe that's what it was.
50:14Maybe it was just a peaceful sinking to the bottom. Who knows? Who knows? Or maybe because you dumped Timmy right in the middle of a busy shipping lane. Don't know how you missed the the boats. Maybe you're just evil. Maybe Timmy was was causing some issues that we don't know about. Maybe there is some sort of back-end deal or some like that where it's like I I don't know. I don't know where these tentacles are weaved around. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe it was just You know what? We wanted to look good. Now, who cares? This This whale keeps coming back though. The whale keeps coming back to die. How do we end it? There's actually a a shipping lane. Nobody's going to know that Nobody's going to know. Let's just dump them there. Maybe that. Maybe you're just evil disguising yourself as a good person, you know?
51:09Maybe you are a sheep in um or a wolf in sheep's clothing. Maybe that's what it is. Maybe. I don't know. you uh so so it's either a peaceful sinking to the bottom which not so peaceful since you know Timmy can't breathe underwater which is probably like why it wanted to rest where it could breathe you know that hole I know you don't know anything about whales I know you don't know anything about whales I don't either I know we're not marine biologists but I'm pretty sure the hole at the top is so that they can they can breathe. It's like our noses and our mouths or something like that. They got them on on the top of their their back or some So, if that's true, if and I don't know. I don't know whales. I don't know whales.
52:04You tell me. Maybe maybe the whole blowhole thing is just a myth, you know? Maybe it's something I just heard about or read about and it's just it's not true. But if it is, I can imagine Yeah. If you're just so weak and tired and you're having to constantly swim in order to stay afloat, like just go go get in a pool in the deep end where you can't stand and just and just chill. Even if you go underwater or whatever, you know, you realize like you're using muscles to stay afloat, you're using muscles to swim, whatever whatever it is, eventually you're going to get gassed out. You're going to get a little bit burnt out, man. You going to want to take a break. So, when you're dead or dying and you want to be dead and you just want to you want to you want to leave the the whales you love behind, you want to leave the life you knew in the sea behind and you want to go rest somewhere where you can breathe. Not just a little and going back under to the whale life.
53:00No, somewhere where you could just relax and breathe. Maybe. Maybe that's what it is. If the whole blow hole thing is true. Who knows? We'll leave it to the experts to decide. But if that is true, maybe you just took this whale that was chilling and breathing, knew that it was at the point where it couldn't survive very long by swimming around, and you just dumped it into the deep end. Be like, "You good, bro. You good." So, in that case, I guess it's not it's not as peaceful as being able to just sit and breathe until you die. No. Timmy the whale in this case had to sink to the bottom realizing that he wasn't strong enough to make it to the surface and take another breath and basically just drowned while sinking. It doesn't seem as peaceful. It It's It's not as grandma died in her sleep last night.
53:58It's not It's not as I don't know. It I guess it depends on your flavor of a feel-good story. What's a feel-ood story to you? You know, a lot of people This is amazing. Amazing. The best story ever. I'm so glad. So happy for this. I uh I don't know. Make make people feel good and then go drown the whale. Maybe it's just Maybe it's just evil. I don't even know that people would care. Would anybody even care? Would anybody even care that Timmy didn't actually make it? Maybe he drowned. Maybe you put him you put him in the busy shipping lane and he got ran over by a boat and he's just in a in a little pieces. Who knows? Who knows? That's That's Timmy's journey. Who are we to disrupt that?
54:54Who are we to play God? That's Timmy's journey. How how he wanted to go out is how he wanted to go out. Whether he drowned and sank to the bottom or got hit by a boat, who cares? We got him. We got him out of the Baltic Sea. We got him out. We got him out. And we showed people that we care. We showed people. I don't think people would care. I don't think anybody That's why That's why those those type of those type of headlines don't really You can't call that news worthy. It's not something that people find exciting. What did that one person say? Extraordinary. This isn't extraordinary to them. This isn't They don't They don't care. They don't. It's not about the happy ending for real. It's about the illusion of a happy ending. So, they know. They know. And that's why I was like, you could you could even try to to say something against it. That's just not true. You know, the marine biologist actually said that the the whale was just too weak and probably should have just been left alone cuz this is what would have happened if we weren't there.
55:55No. No. The whale wanted friends and the whale wanted to be brought to the ocean and it wanted to know that people people love love him or her or whatever gender that they want to go by and we love Timmy the whale and that's why we have one rich person that isn't evil and cares a lot and and and we love him maybe maybe I don't know people don't want to hear the truth they don't want to hear it they just want to they want to they want to close their eyes. They want to imagine a world where Timmy is safe, where Timmy is he he he he's happy. He has a nice whale family. He met he met a nice pretty girl whale. They had they had pretty or little whale babies. I don't My mind is getting muddled in this in this fantasy. I don't I don't know.
56:52It's getting hard to imagine. It's getting hard for me to imagine. And that's probably why I don't fit in. I don't have the imagination for it because all I see is just whale pieces or I see a sad sinking whale. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. So, I think if you told somebody or if you know it's like, "Hey, by the way, that GPS tracker, it um it just like went out. The the whale is is is probably dead. The whale's not alive. It actually didn't end. Well, well, you know, it's a I don't I don't How do you justify it? They don't want to know. They don't want to know. You can't say, "Well, it's still all you get you get tongue tied. You get wrapped up in all of the the contradicting beliefs." Because this was for the greater good. This was for the greater good. We weren't playing God. We were showing mercy. That was maybe the only thing that's godlike. God shows mercy. We show mercy. Here you go, Timmy. You're welcome.
57:49You're safe. We love you. We love you. And now, now that it is a sad ending, now that it is a bad ending, it's not a story at all. Let's just watch the movie. Watch about halfway through where everything seems good right before, you know, the climax where everything changes and the hero has to overcome whatever the you know, in an actual random or regular story plot. Let's just end it halfway through where everything is good for the character. You know, the multi-millionaires show up, they spend the money, they don't they don't care about the money like like the Bezos and the Musks of the world. They aren't evil like them. They care. They care. And you care. Everybody cares. Everybody loves this whale. This whale is just down. She feels a little down. And there's doctors that are trying to say that this whale is weak.
58:47No, not in this movie. This wheel is just down. And y'all understand, I've been there. It's just depressed. Sometimes I'm the same way. I just can't get out of bed. No. No. It's not sick. It's just depression. You don't know. You don't know what depression looks like. You don't know. You can't get out of bed sometimes. You don't want to go to the bathroom sometimes. You don't want to eat. Sometimes you don't want to shower sometimes. Timmy just had to take a break. He wanted to know that somebody cared. In this movie, he wanted to know that somebody loved him. In this movie, we end it halfway. Timmy gets picked up. Multi-millionaires that love him. Spend 1.5 million. Get him on a huge ship. Take them out into the middle of the ocean. Don't worry about shipping lanes. Don't worry about any of that. It's just the middle of the ocean as far as the eyes can see. Nothing but amazing whale friends and family and all of the things that a whale could ever want.
59:48In this movie, we stop at halfway because Timmy Timmy goes free into the water and we immediately go to credits. We immediately say, "This is the type of story that we needed. This is the type of story that we that we love. Don't worry about the ending. Don't worry." And somebody's going to come and did you see the ending of that movie? Don't. No. No. No. No. No. That's not why I go to these type of movies. That's not why I watch this. I don't want to know. Don't spoil it. Don't spoil it for me. Don't spoil it. I walked out when I knew that it couldn't get any better. I left that movie as soon as I saw it was the best it'll ever be. You can't get better than that. Go out on top. They say go out while you're ahead. That's what I did. Timmy was safe. Timmy was loved. I cared. I wanted this. I told my friends. I shared it with some people. I talked about it.
1:00:45Hey, did you actually hear about this whale that was stranded at the Baltic Sea? No, I didn't hear about that. And you felt interesting for a second. You felt like you had something to share. You felt like you were the one that people were noticing. And you liked it. You liked it. And you love Timmy even more for that because it was like it was like you could share that together. You could share that with Timmy. That moment that you felt telling everybody, "Oh, yeah. Yeah. In the Baltic Sea." It was It was It was sad. And scientists were saying, "Oh, he's just too weak. He can't be moved." And there was these these rich people, these multi-millionaires. Millionaires. Multi-millionaires. Yeah. Yeah. Multi. What did they do? They came and stabbed the beast. They they they killed it, right? Surely. Multi-millionaires. No, they uh they actually spent 1.5 million euros and they loaded up on a ship. Yeah. And they took them out. And then what happened?
1:01:42I just they took him out. They they they they they released him to the sea. Wow. They released him to the sea. You don't That's the end of the story. That is the end of the story. What happened? They released him. They released him. Nobody in their right mind is saying, "Hey, do they have a tracker? How did the tracker go? Is he still able to function as a whale like he would normally do as a healthy whale? Or was he really out there for a reason? Was he really too weak to go out into the middle of the ocean? Imagine being sick on your deathbed. Imagine being riddled with cancer. Imagine having some sort of terminal illness. Or you know what? Imagine just being depressed like you said. Imagine, you know what? I just didn't feel like like getting out of bed. Imagine that. And you just got dropped right into the middle of the ocean. Imagine. Imagine that. How about that? How happy is that ending? They just released him. They just released him. They loved him. They loved him.
1:02:43I don't I don't know. I don't know. Maybe maybe it is normal. Who would say what what happened next? Who would say, "Well, was there a shipping lane there?" Who would say that? Wow. They released the whale. That's so That's so amazing. That's so amazing. I think I think maybe you are naive to think that that people want to get more than that. That they actually want to have more than that. That that's all that that's all they ever wanted. That's all they ever they just wanted a taste of goodness. They just want a taste. It's like recycling. You you got the you got the blue litted bin and you separate your plastics and you you yell at your kids because they put a water bottle in the regular trash and you say, "Hey, hey, hey, we recycle."
1:03:41You tell them. You tell them. You point them to the right trash can and you you you do what makes you feel good cuz that's what this is about. It's about feeling good. It's about feeling like you are a good person. and you take the trash out. It's trash day. It's Wednesday. It's time to go out and put the trash out and you got the regular trash and you got the recycling and you go out there and you feel you feel confident. You feel you feel affirmed and all of the the feelings and beliefs that you have about yourself. I am a good person. I do the right thing. And this is the moment. This is you heard of the walk of the walk of shame. This is the walk of pride. that that walk you take to your trash can, putting it to the edge on the curb, that's uh that's what this is because the recycled stuff that you put out, it goes to the dump with all the rest of the trash.
1:04:40Nothing happens to it. And um you don't care. You don't ask. You don't ask. If your kids ask and say, "Well, what happens after?" Well, it gets recycled. Well, like where do they take it? It looks like they're just they're just putting it in the same the same dump truck. What do you What do you mean they recycle it? What do you mean? Like it it it doesn't make sense. And you you shut down their questions. We they recycle it. That's the end of the story. They released him. That's the end of the story. Don't worry about the fact that it doesn't change anything. Don't worry about that. We just need something to feel good.
