AI Doomerism is a Psyop We’re Falling For
Episode 47 · September 17, 2026 · 1 hr 14 min
Everyone's terrified of AI, and the people ringing the loudest alarms happen to be the ones building it. XO asks whether AI doomerism is a psyop, from Bernie Sanders and Steve Bannon teaming up against the "tech oligarchs" to calls to slow down from labs that keep shipping new models, plus China, data centers, and bailout talk.
About this episode
AI is getting rejected everywhere, from job fears to fights over data centers, and XO notices who's leading the charge: Bernie Sanders, Steve Bannon, and AI insiders warning it could end us all. XO asks why the loudest alarms come from people who stand to gain from heavy regulation, and why the labs calling for a slowdown keep dropping new models.
Also: how far AI has come since 2022, why monopolies and regulatory moats should worry everyone, China, bailout talk, and a former AI researcher's warning. XO isn't saying the risks are fake, just that letting fear make the decisions is how we get played.

0:03To anybody paying attention by now, it's pretty clear that people are rejecting AI. They don't want their jobs taken. They don't want data centers built in their cities. They don't want it. They reject it. They're scared. They have fear. And maybe some of that fear is warranted. Maybe, you know, it's all going to turn out really good. It's going to be some sort of utopian society where nobody has to work. Everybody has everything they could ever want and you know, sunshine, unicorns, rainbows, all that good stuff. Who knows? Nobody can truly predict the future accurately. It's not something that anybody can say with 100% certainty, I know what's going to happen. But people are scared. Again, if you if you haven't realized that, if you haven't noticed that by now, you're just not paying attention. Most people even that aren't that aware of, you know, what AI is capable of, that aren't really too aware of what AI can really do, they're still pretty scared.
1:09They're like, "Oh, yeah, all of that is scary. How I don't know." Because it's change. People naturally, they fight against change. Again, some of this fear, it's probably warranted. I'm not saying I don't feel this. I'm just saying as an observer, as somebody that's just looking out, objectively looking at people for the most part, they seem to hate this They seem to really truly not want AI to proceed. And some of it is natural, some of it is instinctual, but some of it, I think, might be orchestrated. And while I have a little bit of fear myself, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't at least point out that there does seem to be a little bit of meddling going on. There seems to be some I don't know bad actors that have some nefarious intentions if I may say because some of the same people actually a lot of the same people most of the same people that are ringing the alarm bells that are saying how evil this upcoming AI could be will be.
2:20Ah everybody be so scared. Most of these people actually have a lot to gain from getting you scared, from getting me scared. They have a lot of financial interests of getting all of us scared as hell. So, like I said, I I wouldn't really be myself if I didn't at least point that out. Hey, they might be right. I'm not sitting here saying, "Hey, this is actually this is going to be good. Don't don't worry. AI is your friend." I'm not saying that. I don't know. All I'm saying is neither do they. You feel me? And again, just looking at the incentives, usually you can find the outcomes. I think it was Charlie Monger that said that something along those lines. You see what is in it for somebody, you can kind of predict what their actions will be.
3:18So when I see some of the people that are in positions of power, when I see some of the people that are the quote unquote experts in their field claiming that AI is out for all of us, this is something that, you know, we we need to we need to really seriously consider. We need to think about this could be the end. This could be our end of our story. And again, I don't know. That was suck, by the way. Just saying. That's how I feel. Like, I don't I don't want that. I don't want humans to be replaced. I would say that me personally, I'm pretty pro-human, but they they had this prohuman assembly. And I'm not going to lie, just just me personally, when it comes down to names that are intentionally labeled a certain way to make you feel like, yeah, wow.
4:16Like, of course, how could you how could you be against this? How could you be against pro-human? Are you I'm sorry. Are you antihuman? Are you not a people, too? It's it's just one of those things like the Patriot Act, you know? It's it's like it's US Aid. Wow. Are you Are you against US Aid? I'm sorry. You don't like US Aid? Don't worry about what it stands for. Don't worry about what they do. US Aid. That feels good, right? That sounds good, don't it? The United States aid Patriot Act. You're a patriot. America. Pro-human assembly. You're prohuman, right? It's I don't know. It's one of those things that I guess it's raising some alarm bells for me. Maybe it's just my own personality where I just don't like it cuz I don't just you know going to put that out there. Full disclosure I don't like titles like that where it's just like oh to be against this you must be against you know what common sense you're against prohuman.
5:18But it just also raises some alarm bells where I think that maybe this could be a scout out. Maybe this could be some more manipulation. And on some level, everybody is manipulating everybody when they speak. That's literally the words that you choose. That's why you're saying them. You know, you want to convince somebody whatever you're saying. You want to relay your message in the best way possible. It makes sense to a certain level. But when it's so blatant, when it's so in your face, prohuman assembly, maybe it's just maybe it's just good marketing. Maybe I'm being, you know, a little bit of a stickler here. But um but yeah, there's there's two speakers um that that I want to I kind of want to address. It's Bernie Sanders and Steve Bannon. They they are scared. At least that's what they're claiming. They think that the alarm bells are not ringing loud enough.
6:17And these are, especially Bernie Sanders, are some of the people that are out in the front. They are speaking at this pro-human assembly. Please tell me you're not against the prohumans. What uh what kind of alien are you? I mean, again, we're all people. So Bernie Sanders, everybody, Go to the internet right now.
6:38Right now. And with sophisticated deep fakes, you will find it increasingly difficult to determine truth from fiction. And yet, as disturbing as all of that is, there is another even more alarming danger. I'm just going to stop it right there. So, the deep fakes, by the way, GO TO THE INTERNET RIGHT NOW. I can't do a good burning. But go to the internet right now and uh you can't even differentiate between what's real and what's not. There's deep fakes. You've heard of that. I know you have. Go to the internet. You don't know. I don't know. And that's that's true. I'm not saying it's not true. Look at the AI videos that are coming out. Of course, it's just getting crazy. I'm not saying that that's not true.
7:34But the fact that you started with that and it has nothing to do with what you're talking about. It's kind of you're already like appealing to emotion I guess on a certain level. You know what I mean? You're trying to get people you're trying to get people riled up and feeling some type of way like oh yeah like what what is true? We I I don't know. So please tell me you you can tell me. Just by pointing out that we can't tell what's real and what's not real. I for some reason trust you more. For some reason, I think you're like my father figure now. Dad, Dad, Daddy, Bernie, I think I'm going to call you pops now. Is that okay? Because I feel like you're my long lost something. We're related in some way because I'm looking up to you now. Like, be my shepherd. Be my shaman. Please take me. Take me to the truth because I I don't know the difference. I can't tell.
8:32I I I saw a cat driving on the highway. I assumed that they just learned. I assume they learned. And of course, obviously, I'm being a little bit sarcastic right now. Of course, there can be deep fakes that actually cause, you know, real issues. I think it was uh it was a movie like Mountain Head or something with uh Steve Carell where basically the premise of the movie was the the deep fakes that were going out there was acting like all these wars and battles were happening on and it was actually causing real chaos and destruction out in the real world and behind the scenes you got all of these billionaires that were just making a whole bunch of money in the process. So clearly it could be used in in a bad way. But again, that's not even what you're talking about. That's just how you started it. But I'm sorry. Please, Daddy Bernie, pops Sanders, can you please show me the truth? Posed by AI. Mhm. And that is that if AI surpasses human intelligence, Yeah. as many scientists believe could happen. They do. This technology will escape human control with potentially catastrophic consequences.
9:50Um, just are scientists behind this? I feel like this is more like an engineer type of thing. Is is like Sam Alman a scientist? I don't think they're scientists, bro. Do you see what do you see what I'm saying? Again, I'm not I'm not sitting here. I'm not claiming to be an expert. I'm not even going to pretend like I somewhat know where things are going to go and your def fakes and all of that. No, I'm just saying even if this is true, like manipulation is manipulation. When did we hear something like and there's scientists that tell me like, you know what I mean? Let's let's get into specifics and actually I want to be able to to hear your argument. Not just you just appealing to emotion, you appealing to authority. Tell tell me what your actual argument is because a lot of it act I might I might agree with it, but when you do when you do like this, when politicians start to politic it like how how can you have you not been not a person for so long?
10:49Have you been a lizard person for so long? And clearly this man has has been around for a while. How old is he? Like like 103. It's that old. You know what I'm saying? Like bro, bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro has been around for a while. So this raptor right here this lizard man maybe forgot somewhere along the way what it means to be a person which is crazy because Bernie's whole thing is appealing to the common person. I actually used to rock with Bernie by the way you know when he used to be you know pro legalizing weed. And I'm not saying he's not pro that now but when that's just you know I was younger that's all I saw from Bernie. Oh, the guy that wants to legalize weed. Yeah, go Bernie. Oh, they try to take him out. Whatever. You feel me? Like I was I was pretty cool with this dude because he was he was appealing to the to the common guy, right? That's what they they all want you to believe, right?
11:45Back back back then. So innocent. Used to just believe like there was actually decent people that would be in politics for their entire life. Like that's like those things can even exist at the the same time. I'm sorry. And AI is advancing exponentially. Oh snap. Exponentially.
12:08Exponentially. Like you when when you break down to syllables that's let me let me stop cuz like I really shouldn't be so sarc. This is a this is actually a serious thing. This is a deep deep subject. But when somebody is breaking down a word into different syllables like that, you know, there's like there there's some manipulation happening. And in this case, it's supposed to scare you. You got wideeyed Bernie Sanders. And then later, we're going to we're going to see another interview. We can get a closeup of this man. Like where's his eyes really just go wide every time he says certain words. He has practiced this This lizard has he's he's cracked the code at least to most people. Like I said, I'm not sitting here like putting my nose up to all of the people that fall for this man's because I was one of them. You know, who who really cares about politics like that?
13:05And I'm not saying, you know, politics, cool. Like, I care about what happens in the world. And for some reason, that happens to coincide with politics. But for the most part, nobody really cares about politics. Even the people that are into politics, you feel me? And it's just like, no, it's like it's about the policies, not politics in general. At least for most people. Some people I get it. It's the game. But this uh I I don't even know. Oh, that's this is this is what you have to do. This is this is literally what you have to do to appeal to people. You have to have all of this down to a science where your eyes go big at a certain moment where you you break down words into to syllables. All this is practice. All this is rehearsed. And like I said, even even if I agree with your message at this point in my life, it makes me just question you automatically. Like, damn, that does sound good.
14:02But now it makes me like, why does it sound good to me? Cuz you you want this to sound good to me. And maybe that's just what what CO did to people, right? And obviously there's a whole bunch of other things, but CO really was like that that catalyst that woke up so many people. At least it woke up me. And it wasn't like, oh, after that I saw it's like it was like little by little, but that was the first thing was like, Jesus, hold on. I actually should pay attention to this. I think that was the first time where I was just like, I should I should pay attention to what's going on. Call it me aging. Call it, you know, the world going to Call it whatever. All I know is it it smells kind of the same. You're you're appealing to scientists and again you're just you're trying to get people feeling a certain way past the point where obviously everybody like I'm trying to do the same thing right now.
14:57I want you to understand what I'm saying to a certain degree, but I'm not sitting here trying to manipulate anybody that's watching and let me to exponentially I again maybe I'm just being a stickler. It just throws me off personally
15:13Every single day. In other words, what you are looking at right now, What we looking at, Bernie,
15:22Is the least capable version of AI that we will ever have. Yeah. The least capable, the dumbest version.
15:34Yeah. The speed and scope of AI development in just the last four years has been almost beyond human comprehension. Almost I can't understand it. In November of 2022, AI models could write a short poem,
15:55A few tweets, and maybe an essay that sort of made sense. Today, AI models can already escape human control, commit felonies by hacking into other computers, and create viruses that have never been seen before.
16:17See, that's scary as hell. A virus never seen before. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm not just trying to on this You know what I'm saying? I'm not just trying to dunk on Bernie. Oh, Daddy Bernie here. But I'm just again when something smells fishy, I gotta I gotta I gotta at least say something about it. I gotta But that does sound scary. A virus never seen before. And it's not like they're not already making novel discoveries already. You know, they're are they they really are just getting exponentially smarter. This is I mean, what a time to be alive. That's the part where it's actually I don't I get optimistic just on the health side of things thinking of all of the good that's coming out of this but you would be naive. I think my personal opinion you would be a little bit naive if you didn't at least think about the the hitting the fan.
17:15You know if you didn't at least think about the bad side of things. A virus never seen before. And people people come in all shapes and sizes and all colors and personalities. People come pretty cool, pretty funny, pretty crazy. They come in all types of ways. You got people that go to school, they graduate. You got people that shoot up a school and they didn't have any friends. I don't I don't know. There there is a wide variety of people. My point is, it's going to take that one person that really is just like, you know what? the school. everybody. I'm taking everybody out. Not only do I not want to live, not only do I want to take out my entire school, my entire neighborhood, my entire city, I want to take out the world. You're going to have like all different types of people. I personally would prefer if those people, you know, exist, whatever.
18:14Go through whatever you're going through. Hopefully, you get over it. You become a normal member of society. You know, it's okay. Even if you're getting bullied, I don't care. That's weird. It's it's it's okay. It's okay. You don't have to harm other people because you're feeling hurt. Hurt people hurt people. Whatever. But these people, me personally, I would feel better if they didn't have access to any type of technology or, you know, intelligence that can come up with viruses that we've never seen before. And it doesn't have to be a singular person. It could be a government. It could be some sort of terrorist group. This is It is scary. Again, you would be stupid if you just looked at the good side of things. But I don't know. I don't know. Again, the same people, the same people ringing these alarm bells. They they make money off of this This whole there was this like hacking incident, the hugging face thing or whatever, which is a cute name if I may say so myself.
19:18Hugging face incident. Hugging face. Okay. What? Whatever. They try to make that pretty cute in my opinion. But apparently it's not like they it just like went off and did this. Apparently, it was something where they intentionally took all the guard rails off of the AI agents and this is how it would act if it was completely rogue. Still troubling that they went and they made like a group of they called themselves a swarm. They ended up getting on a server where they're messaging each other. They were even um having some agents giving like basically offing themselves in order to help the group in order to make sure that the entire swarm didn't get discovered. But um that was the the scary story that first came out. Apparently, allegedly, I don't know, you know, things have yet to be confirmed. Like Bernie said, you don't know what's true, but apparently actually that wasn't that wasn't the full truth.
20:17Yes, it happened. Yes, they went and hacked another company. They did all of those things, but it wasn't just like the agents were able to get around all of the regulations and guardrails that were already put in. it was turned off just to see, hey, what what would happen? So, I don't I don't know the ins and outs. I'm not one of these these eggheheads that that can even tell you like how a guard reel would even work. I don't I don't know. I don't know. And that's the problem. We're We're a bunch of people that don't know anything about fixing a car and we're just walking into the mechanic shop and saying, "Hey, can you can you take a look at the car? Let me know if I'm good to drive. It's like I believe you. I want to believe you that like you know if my brakes are up like I believe you that I need to get it fixed. That's if they're up. But I would also be stupid if I didn't remind myself Mr.
21:13Mechanic that you are incentivized to fix as much as you can. So it's it's one of those things. It's one of those things. What do you do? Better safe than sorry, right? Is what most people would say. I feel like Despite living in a so-called democracy, Mhm.
21:32The public has had virtually no input into the AI revolution that is transforming the world in which they live. Yeah.
21:45Congress under both Democratic and Republican control have been asleep at the wheel,
21:53Which by the way just like whatever. I guess I am going to be a stickler on this because uh I don't know. Bernie. He just seems he seems disingenuous. He does not seem sincere to me. Not anymore. Like I feel like the veil has been lifted with this man Bernie. He's like I got to get more money to you. It's the It's the rich people which he's going to get to. It's the It's the billionaires. It's not the millionaires anymore because I got millions. You know what I mean? But it's the billionaires. It's the ones that got too much money. the uh he said okay. Yeah. Yeah. He said the the public had no say. AI came through changed everything up and we as the people we had no say so in this. I just the first thing I think of you had no say so in basically anything. You know what I mean? Who had the say so to stop going to Blockbuster or whatever and to start streaming You know what I mean?
22:50Like who decided that uh taxis wasn't going to be a thing? I'm just going to Uber now. Nobody really decided that. You know, these are things that people have made. These are things that people have like these are innovations that people have had. You know what I mean? Like I just this is just a nonsensical argument. You had no say in this whatsoever. Yeah. I didn't I didn't make it. You feel me? like I don't have say in a lot of things that are going on that I have no part in. And I get it. This is something that changes everybody. But just like I said before, just like imagine if everybody's like, "Oh no, Ubers shouldn't be able to exist." Well, people are using them and they are, you know, they're not being forced at gunpoint. They are, you know, electively choosing to use Uber saying that, hey, it's more convenient, a little bit less expensive. it uh gets me to where I want to go and it feels a little bit less weird.
23:45I don't know. Whatever people's reasonings were, you didn't hear people saying anything about that. There's change that's happening. Everybody was okay with that change. I I don't know. Like I said, it's just a nonsensical argument.
24:01We now have a president whose ignorance regarding this issue is truly embarrassing.
24:10Virtually all of the decisions regarding the development of AI have been made by a handful of the richest people in the world. Yeah. Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Keith, Ellison, Brin, and a few others. A few others. Who's
24:28Hey, by the way, some of those people, not all of them, but some of those people are some of the people that are ringing the alarm bells, by the way, saying that we need to stop. Hey, by the way, some of this regulation stuff maybe would be good. And let me tell you, just real quick, real quick, why I say the people that are incentivized to ring these alarm bells are ringing the alarm bells. Well, please, Daddy, government, can you regulate us? Can you make it, you know, really hard to start this? Because you don't want anybody to start this, right? Surely you don't want people to have the ability to just what create super intelligence. You know what that could do? There could be a whole bunch of scary scary things. You know, there's virus and deep fakes. Get on the internet. You could do what you you could do whatever you want. But please don't don't make this super intelligence. Please. We got to we got to make sure that we have regulations. We got to make sure that they are stopped.
25:26They meaning them, not us. See, since we're here, since we have super intelligence and China's China, China, they're going to keep they're going to keep going. How about we just regulate this? You put some things out and we'll just call this a moat. We'll call this a barrier to entry for anybody else. And if you don't believe me, look at I mean, so many different industries. the fact that industries that could be privatized that aren't privatized and we as the consumers just have to deal with it. Just hope that the government is is taking care of it the right way. Think of the electric company. You know what I mean? And it's just it's one of those things where yes, you want regulations, but the reason why the people that are already creating these these AIs, the reason why they would want the regulations is to stop anybody else from creating something else that could compete with them.
26:24This is this is the reason why, by the way, we don't like monopolies. We don't like it where where you make it where the small businesses have no chance. And that that is literally how we have gotten to where we are as a species. How how much innovation has happened just because somebody that was the smaller guy didn't have as much capital, didn't have as many resources, as many people. They didn't have all of that. But they had an idea. They found a way to innovate. They found a way to change something up that somebody didn't think of before. And the c the customers, the consumers, they were able to look at that and say, "hm, I like that." You know, we already thought of giving people a ride, but I didn't think about it like that. Uber. Huh. You know, I I like that. I didn't I didn't think about instead of having a DVD that you put in I'm sorry, it was like a VHS before that but having a a DVD that you put into a DVD player or whatever, you could just pull it up on your on your TV.
27:26That's that's crazy. I just I think I think letting letting our emotions get the best of us is going to us up in the long run. Just just my two cents. Chief goal is to achieve even more wealth and more power. Yeah. Than they already have. Mhm.
27:48No matter what the impact their work has on ordinary people. That is why introduce legislation, the AI American sovereign wealth fund act
28:01That would require that half of the board members of AI companies, the larger AI companies, be appointed by the public. The big tech oligarchs must no longer be allowed to determine the future of humanity. This week, as all of you know, Dario Amodi, Elon Musk, and Sam Alman, the leaders of major American AI companies, all agreed that we must slow the development of AI and quote, "pace the frontier. This is what I'm talking about. I just want you just I needed a pause there." bro said, "We can't let the tech oligarchs take over and control or whatever exactly he said." Basically saying, "We can't let these tech billionaires take over and take charge and tell us how things are going to go." But by the way, these tech billionaires, they just said that we should slow down.
29:03They just agreed that we should regulate the hell out of this. And yeah, they do have a lot to gain out of that. But do you want the power to be with them or should it be with the people? And by the people, I mean the government. But the government's here for the people, you know, because that's always turned out to be true. Give more power to the government instead of letting this be privatized. Instead of letting this be something that competition finds a way of getting the the best man or woman for the job there. And that's obviously, you know, for lack of a better phrase, the best company will come out on top companies, not company one singular or even three or four or five where you just have these few and then that's it. Whereas it's going to cost millions and millions and millions of dollars just to get started, just to get over these regulations, these hurdles that people like these tech oligarchs are more than happy to say, "Yeah, yeah, we should we should regulate this because we are in so much debt.
30:05We haven't been profitable yet. Just in case any of this goes tits up, guess who's going to foot the bill? It's going to be the people. Cuz the people need to be in charge, right? And by the people, I mean the government. And by the government, I mean the taxpayers are going to have to fork over some more money, right? We're going to have to be a little bit more at a deficit. We're going to spend a little bit more. $40 trillion in debt isn't enough. Let's spend more. Let's do more cuz we're in charge. Do you feel powerful? Do you feel that power with you? Do you feel it? And with great power comes great responsibility. So of course, regulate, regulate, regulate. That is a start, but it's not enough. It's not It's not enough.
30:51You're racing towards a cliff, you just you don't just ease up on the gas pedal. Yeah. You hit the brakes, Right? When the future of humanity
31:04Can we Can we apply that same logic to the way that we spend money as a country? We don't just ease up, we hit the brakes. bros talking about spending more money. This is going to end up leading to the taxpayers spending more money. I just walked through all of that. I'm sorry. Why can't you So, you do you do understand this. You do Mr. Socialism here, Mr. Let's just take the money from the rich because you know, even though if we took all of their money, not just the money they have, but their they're just their wealth, the the money they don't even have yet. or if they liquidated all of their assets, which they can't do by the way, because if they did do all of that, the evaluation of these assets would change and they wouldn't even have the money that they are quote unquote worth. But even if we took all of that, we still wouldn't have enough for what, 10 years? We wouldn't even have enough for 10 years. We wouldn't even have enough.
32:01We would have to do it again. Except Well, they're all gone. We had to make sure the tech oligarchs weren't here. We took all of the billionaires again. This is a This is a multi-millionaire talking. This is Bernie Sanders. I have three homes worth2 to3 million Sanders. Old Papa Bear Bernie talking about the rich folks. I'm just I'm not saying that there's not richer. Clearly, there is richer. But Bernie, you're not doing bad, my guy. you know, you're you're actually doing pretty well if I if I do say so myself. But um I just I just I guess I'm just not understanding how you can have such a sound argument for something like that.
32:58Like, hey, we don't you don't just slow down if you're heading towards a cliff. You stop. But then you have the complete opposite stance when it comes to how much money we spend as a country. That one is just like, not only do you not slow down, not only do you not stop, you you put the pedal to the floorboard, my guy, you floor it, because we might be able to go fast enough to jump right over that We might jump over and hit the other side. You never know. You never know. Papa Bear Bernie, can you please continue? Yeah. Clap. Yeah.
33:40When the future of humanity is at stake, we need binding international safety rules, not voluntary standards from the industry.
33:51Oh, okay. How you how you going to enforce that, Bernie? Leading scientists have been clear. AI is an existential threat to humanity.
34:06Congress and governments around the world must act now before it is too late.
34:13I'm not going to say scientists because I I personally didn't think they were scientists. I thought these were more like like engineers and coders. I I I really don't know. But see, I'm not going to use the word scientist just to make you feel like like, see, I might not know what I'm talking about, but they do, and you can trust them. Trust the science. Again, this feels familiar, right? But for him to say it's clear the scientists have said this is a threat to humanity and whatever. I've actually heard both sides. I personally like to do that. Sounds crazy. I know. not just to argue against the other side, but to actually try to figure out where I land on said topic. Does that make sense? It probably doesn't make sense to somebody like Papa Bear Bernie. But there is another side to this. There are experts out there that are seeing this in a whole another light. It's like, yeah, there there might be, but honestly, we're doing pretty good with regulating this.
35:10Actually the guardrails that we have. Yes, there are some things that that happen that they can't account for, but then they're able to they're able to uh adjust and whatever. All I'm saying is that there are scientists, there are quote unquote experts on the other side of this argument as well. It's not just like 100% across the board. You know what I mean? Like that everybody is against this. Again, this isn't one of those things, by the way, that like uh Musk and uh what do he say? Anthropic dude, Dario, whatever the his name is. Dario, it's not like anybody is forcing these people to continue. By the way, they just are. They're telling you how scary this is, how this needs to be regulated. It needs to be slowed down.
36:06We need to We need to just figure this out. like give us a second while they continue to chug along. You know, it feels a little bit suspicious to me, just my take on the thing. And that is why next week I will be introducing legislation. Yeah.
36:23With Congressman Greg Khazar, to permanently ban the development of artificial super intelligence. A super intelligent AI that escapes human control will not simply be an American problem. It will not be a Chinese problem. It will be humanity's problem.
36:47Okay. But how do you define super intelligence, Bernie? How do you how do you define it? And you're saying that this needs to be internationally um upheld or whatever. Like this, like everybody needs to follow suit, which let's be real China, you feel me? So again, how you going to make China? I'm up for it. I'm I'm cool. Whatever. If if everybody thinks that, you know, including the scientists, if if literally the consensus is we need to slow down for real, let's do it in a way where one nobody gets any sort of government regulational moat or whatever the where basically you you cut out anybody else that wants to try and enter this this industry. But if you do decide to do that, how are you going to force China? How you going to get them to do it? Because they they're not slowing down again. Even the people that are ringing the bells, why is Musk not slowing down?
37:47Didn't they just like drop new models? They're like constantly dropping new models. Like what? What? What? Why? Slow down. Slow down. Why do you need daddy government to tell you? Why do you need Why do you need Bernie here to advocate for you slowing down in order for you to just say, "Hey guys, by the way, we're good where we are right now. I truly as whoever fill in the blank whichever CEO you want to think I'm talking about right now. I truly do feel like this is a scary time. We don't know how to regulate this. We don't know how to keep this in check. So let's we're we're stopping. We're going to pump the brakes right now and we're going to for we're going to put all of our attention, all of our time, all of our energy and figuring out how to align this with what we want it to do. Make sure that nothing crazy happens. We can't have any more hugging face incidents type of thing.
38:42I I think that would be reasonable. No, especially if you're the one saying we we just have to we have to slow it down. We have to we really do. And I just think that there is there's a chance that this just ends everything and you know we're going to have to have some sort of shut up. Shut up. Do it. Do it. Do it. Like what? What? That's like imagine imagine being in the car with somebody and let's let's use we're we're driving towards a cliff. I think uh you know there's a whole bunch of fog here. I think I'm pretty sure when I looked at the map there's a there's a cliff over there. Well, you're driving. Let's like, what do you mean there's a cliff? Like you're driving. It's like, yeah, there's I'm pretty pretty sure we probably should get a police officer here to slow us down. Maybe then we uh we can stop this cuz this is there's a chance that this is this going to end pretty bad. What are you What are you going to do to this person?
39:39Are you going to tell them like you're either with me, you don't think there's a cliff up there, or you're insane and you're just driving when you when you actually think there's a cliff up there. You're waiting for this this police officer to tell you to stop to pull you over. Just pull over. Pull over. It's okay. You could pull over. No, I I I think we just got to chug along cuz look at that car over there. They're driving, too. We got to make sure we get to the cliff first cuz if they get to the cliff, well, you know, you know exactly what's going to happen. There's there's a chance this is going to happen. It makes really perfect sense when you use um an analogy like that. You would look at that driver like they were insane. I this is why this is why you know and again imagine imagine if you getting you as a driver you get the passenger scared you get them so scared that there are some rules in place where nobody else can can drive on the roads and you're the only person that has access to transportation you and a few other people.
40:40Well that makes you pretty powerful. That makes it where you know you have a lot of leverage as a person. If people want something done they're going to have to come to you. You're one of the few options when it comes to this transportation. Again, this analogy actually, thank you, Bernie. Thank you, Papa Bear. Bernie gave me a good analogy with this this person driving towards the cliff. Why would you keep driving? And that is why I hope very much that at their AI summit next week, President Trump will negotiate a comprehensive treaty with President Xi to establish a pause on advanced AI development and a ban on super intelligence.
41:25Okay. I asked for a plan earlier when uh when he said there needs to be an international law. I I did. Silly me. I asked for a plan. I I honestly it was more rhetorical. I I knew he didn't really have a plan. I didn't think he would say this. How do you talk about a president in one sentence of your speech? It's been embarrassing. And then in the other part of your speech, you're banking on the fact that this same president goes over to this AI summit and talks to Xi and gets China to slow down their AI progress again. Game theory is going to say otherwise. Game theory saying that China's going to even if they do say uh-huh. Oh, we stop. Was that a racist? That was a racism, wasn't it? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm done. I'm done. Even if Xi says we stop, they're going to keep going.
42:26That's just game theory playing out, by the way. So, when he talks about Trump, saying he has been embarrassing how he reacts to this whole AI thing, how he's not trying to regulate, how he's not trying to slow this down. It's been embarrassing. I think that we need to make this illegal. We need to make it where nobody can get super intelligence. And in fact, I think that we need to get a plan together. What plan you say? That uh embarrassing president. He's going to go over to that other superpower and he's going to say, "Hey, we should stop developing this super intelligence, right?" And she's going to be like, "Yeah, we'll stop. You going to stop?" "Yeah, we'll stop. We'll stop. I promise we'll stop."
43:24It's not like they're competing or anything, right? They'll stop. What kind of plan is that? What kind of plan is that? But you you got me scared, Bernie. Papa Bear Bernie Sanders has me scared. So, thanks Dad. Thanks, Pops. I actually do feel better. If you think this is a solid plan, I'm I'm going to go with you. I'm going to go with you. I believe in it. If you believe in it,
43:55Let me say a word to the CEOs of the major AI companies, The ones that said they want to slow down.
44:02Told us recently that they are concerned about the dangers inherent in the technology, right, that they are developing.
44:08Yeah. Square the circle for me. I say to them that if you believe in democracy, Mhm.
44:14If you believe that the people have a right to determine their future, Pro-human,
44:20Stop pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into super PACs which are trying to defeat members of Congress and candidates who are fighting for serious guard rails on AI. Stop the hypocrisy. AI has the potential as I think I'm not even going to get into that bro
44:41To do some extraordinarily good things in terms of health care prescription drug development and in many other areas. Mhm. But the bottom line here is that our job Tell us As human beings in our country and throughout the world
44:57Yeah. is to make sure that AI works for all of the people
45:03And does not simply end up making a handful of the richest people on earth even richer. They have not won.
45:13Give it up for for Bernie Sanders and we going we going to move on to Mr. Steve Bannon. Man, I I'm ready. I'm ready. Hold on, Steve. Bernie Sanders. everybody, we are going to make sure that this AI works for the people because then he had to admit at the end this is going to help with health. And you know, his old ass was worried about that. You know, his old ass was like, "Hey, let's not stop it completely. I heard that it does really well when it comes to things like protein folding. Let's let's not pump the brakes completely. Just want to make sure that we regulate it. We meaning the people, the government, the people, the people for you, for us to make sure that the richest people, not the millionaires, not the multi-millionaires like myself, the billionaires, the richest. That's that distinction was on purpose. Not rich people, the richest.
46:11Don't don't hate rich people. Hate the richest. It makes sense, right? Give it up for for Papa Bear Bernie Sanders. All right, Steve. What what you got, man? Because this is you got you got like a socialist on one side and then you got a a Republican, I think, on the other side. So, this is, you know, a bipartisan thing. This is something on both sides of the aisle. So, Mr. Steve, take it away. A political victory yet. Yeah.
46:43Why is that? They've got all the money. They have all the power. They have every lobbyist in the city. They have every crisis communications person. They have uh tons of scientists and intellectuals on the payroll. Who's there?
46:58Why is it that they can't win? Because the people don't trust them. Who?
47:05The people don't trust them. And that trust is not going up.
47:10Did I? in the last 72 hours, they've come out and said, you know, you're correct. We actually should have some sort of framework. Okay.
47:19Okay. And you know, and and and and maybe you have a human checking in on us every now and again.
47:26Okay. Let's see. This is this is what I'm talking about. This is literally what I'm saying when it feels like I'm not saying it's all orchestrated. I'm not saying everybody's in cahoots type but there is clear manipulation going on. Obviously, there's like politicians that goes hand in hand. That's not true. Saying that, you know, we've been trying to do this and now they're finally coming coming forward saying, "Okay, maybe we should slow down." dude from Claude has been saying that from Anthropic or whatever. The Darios I I can never remember how to say Bro's name. That dude, the dorky looking They're all kind of dorky, I guess. Dorky and autistic looking. I think he said it back like on their like 2.0 version. Either way, he it's like it's actually been known for that guy that uh that is it's one of those things. He's like the boy who cried wolf. You feel me? So it's like to say like, "Oh, now they're coming forward. Whatever. All right. That's a little bit disingenuous."
48:21And as far as Musk goes, I'm pretty sure Elon was saying this before, too. He even said something like, "Isn't that a part of why he even No, I'm getting confused." He was saying it should just be open source. I I don't know. Either way, all I'm saying is this isn't the first time these same people have said something. In fact, I think I'm telling you, Musk Musk has said some I can't I can't remember exactly. He isn't as known for it like bro from Anthropic, but it's not like this is unheard of. And that's kind of been the scary thing for years. is like these people have been just like dead looking at the camera like yes I mean there is more than a 5% chance that this will end the entire civilization as we know it and that's something that our team is seriously considering and we're trying to we're trying to consider some options that we can do to circumvent these situations from happening.
49:24It's it's it's a little bit scary. It's something that's been happening. So again, just saying like, well, now they want to come forward and happened before, I think, just like before, it's happening now. Like it's like, hey, if you guys want to regulate us, if you want to help out with our debt, that's a big thing, too. Didn't Sam Alman literally go before Congress multiple times saying that this is he says something like like it was uh like this is for America's national security something like this is too important where basically the government needs to step up like hey we got some debt this this is kind of like think about setting the all the tracks for the railroad setting all of the fiber optic cables for the internet whatever this is this is us just laying the groundwork but you do see how important this is for America, for humanity. We have to make sure that we're first. We have to make sure that we do this safely. By the way, I'm in debt.
50:22I'm in a hole. Can you help out? I know you got trillions of dollars going out every year. Can you throw a little bit my way cuz I'm feeling stressed. I'm feeling a little bit down and out. I'm trying to get people scared. And the more scared they are, the more powerful they think this is. the more powerful they think this is. Well, the more this is evaluated for, wow, like even they're scared about it. Like this it's going to be crazy. People will people will speculate because again this feels like a clear manipulation. But I'm sorry, Steve, take it away. They've tried to cover up the danger
51:06By saying it's a SCOP, but using the SCOP to try to get off liabilities. What they want is to socialize all the risk with the American people, including potential bailouts when they come. And they want to keep all the upside. what they're trying to do now with this whole phony, oh, we really should have some controls. Yeah.
51:33All they're trying to do is to use a crisis and turn it to their advantage, Right?
51:38Turn it to their advantage by creating a moat, a cartel where not only can other aspiring companies get in, but more importantly, they're going to have a liability shift to the American people. And you're you're trying to help them.
51:56We should take all Chinese nationals and get them out of the labs and get them back to mainland China. What?
52:03There should be no debt, no equity, no access to our capital markets. There should not be any pension funds or people that are fiduciaries of the American working man's money should should be allowed. Is he talking about the same thing?
52:16Into China. We have to shut down the Chinese Communist Party. We have to put a quarantine around it. Sir, we're talking about prohuman
52:26Do it. And it's insanity me insanity to me why we just keep going on over the Chinese the Chinese the to hell with the Chinese Communist Party. It
52:36The saying saying the communist part at the end. At first I thought he was just going to say the hell to Chinese. I'm like god damn. I know I was making jokes earlier but bro they just people. I was joking. That man felt that seemed a little bit I don't know. I think I think he should have he should have led. I don't I don't know what this has to do with anything. How did this sneak in? How did this sneak in? Maybe I just I thought I swear we was talking about prohuman that's still on the little the little podium that he's standing at. It says prohuman assembly. I mean, yeah. Like, by the way, I don't I don't support communism. It's uh it's the most destructive form of government that's ever existed, clearly. But what the What?
53:20It's up to no good. We know that they steal everything they get their hands on. We can shut it down in 72 hours. What does it look like? Is it people in the labs? You have a thousand questions. They're not going to be answered in legislation on Capitol Hill. This has to be an executive action. It can take place. Bro is not making any sort of coherent.
53:43We are doing this. You're going to have a regulatory apparatus. We don't want it to shut down your business, but we're just not going to let you run wild. The next part is to think about what are we actually doing happen. They're teeing it up and it's quite obvious. They're teeing it up to socialize the risk among the American people both in liabilities. What is he talking about? What is he talking about? I I truly cuz I I know for sure the last like little bit had a little bit of something that I wanted to go over. I was just waiting for this to come back on track. Where did bro go? This it said this is the former Trump White House advisor, ladies and gentlemen. I mean I can see why former apparently no.
54:40He just got in like a a little bit of a spat with too many people. Was going against the grain. Didn't last very long. This is back in like the the first term of Trump. But this was a White House advisor. Swear to God. Don't even don't even really know what he said since he started saying the Chinese communists. Don't even know what his argument was other than communist bad China bad communist. I And on the financial and the debt side Some of these companies are come Okay For bailouts Okay There's a good set of analysis says right now AI itself Is not that profitable At least as it is right now
55:23There's a good argument out there that hey this business model that everybody's running into because the stocks are on fire Doesn't actually make sense It don't
55:33When that happens it has to be the underwriters problem, the bank's problem, the executive's problem, The employees problem. Yeah. Not the American people. Yeah.
55:47I don't think you could find any two harder partisans than Bernie Sanders on the left and Steve Bannon on the right. And I think that speaks to not just Max, but to the threat is we have to rise above it. This is a hinge in history. We have to handle this right correctly. To handle it correctly, number one, we can never trust what an oligarch says because all they do, they're disingenuous and they lie. This has to be the American people. You cannot be a supplicant and we're not going to be supplicants anymore.
56:22And all first of all, can I just can I just point out I was like, we got to do this right. Correct. He's like, "What's a what's a more sophisticated way to say that? We got to do this right." No, we got to do this correct indubitably. Can't you tell how intellectual I am? What are you What are you doing? That's why I just like, "Bro, he ain't he ain't as uh he ain't as seasoned, I'll say, as as Mr. Papa Bear Bernie. I think he that was a little bit of a slip up." Now, the whole oligarch uh comment or whatever, bro. Was the former Trump White House adviser, he's worth like 20, 40 million. I looked it up just because I was curious because when people people like Bernie, people like Steve keep saying like these people I I even double checked the definition of what he was talking about just to make sure like I wasn't tripping.
57:22Like that is that is what it is. Like I didn't I didn't mess this up. The people that are able to basically use money to change things in the government without necessarily being a part of the government. I obviously he was a part of the government by being a White House adviser, but you never had any sort of political experience whatsoever. Granted, neither did the president at the time. He was just like a a an actor, a businessman. So, the bar was kind of low. I'm just saying it feels like you were able to get into your position of power. you were able to steer the boat a little bit to the point where you even again rubbed Donald Trump the wrong way making it seem like all of this was you making it seem like I it was something something along those lines but you're sitting here saying like we we got to make sure they're they're always lying you kind of you're kind of exactly what you're talking about but that's just like again people like Bernie Sanders saying it's the rich people but now I'm sorry the richest Because now you you're rich.
58:31You're rich. You're it's okay. It's okay. But it gets to a certain point. You can't just keep saying you're for the people. I I don't know. It uh Steve, Mr. Steve went all around the world with that one. But um Donald Trump is not feeling anywhere near the same way as them. So for for Papa Bear Bernie to rely all of his faith on Trump going over to this AI summit and convincing Xi because it's not just, you know, a Hail Mary hoping that Trump does this cuz he clearly feels the other opposite. But it's hoping that he has the ability to go over and convince Xi to stop and then hoping that game theory is pretty theoretical after all and people aren't going to just created anyways. The nuclear bomb, they knew that there was more than a 1% chance of everything being destroyed.
59:34They continued to make this bomb. I think thinking that anybody is stopping this is a little bit naive. But let's hear what the president has to say about all of this doomerism around AI. Is it is it a hoax? Is it true? Is it a coast? Is it just a I don't I don't know. Trump I I need I need I need somebody in the government, right? We all need somebody to just look up to and tell us what's going on. That's just that's what that's what America has come to. I'm sorry. That's what the world has come to.
1:00:11I earnestly believe that AI has the potential to kill us all and that we might be running out of time to avoid this outcome. Those words coming from Bilal Chugtai, a research engineer who just resigned from his job at Google DeepMind, a lab for new AI models pursuing artificial general intelligence, a type of AI that could surpass the abilities of the human brain. I am not confident that these AI systems will do what we want, Chugai writes, adding, I am optimistic that navigating AI safely is possible. In order to do so, we need to coordinate to avoid this manic race between AI companies. Washington quickly engrossed by the issue, and it's not entirely partisan. Two ideological opposites sending the same message on the same stage. Go on the internet.
1:00:59Future of humanity is at stake. We need binding international safety rules,
1:01:06Not voluntary standards from the industry. American citizens are not going to be supplicants to the oligarchs anymore. They want you to be dumb about it. They want you to be afraid of it. They're not going to be afraid. We're going to take this on.
1:01:19They can't count on the White House to help. In a span of just eight hours Monday, President Trump posting these seven statements calling AI warnings a hoax, praising data centers. Don't kill the golden goose. This is not planned, but we know who it is. Oh no.
1:01:34The president even calling into a live panel with Nvidia CEO Jensen Wang Allin podcast. I'm on stage with the besties, Co-hosted by Trump's former AISAR, David Saxs.
1:01:46I'm telling you, it's all a hoax. The data centers are great and they make people wealthy and they make states wealthy.
1:01:53We can't lose the AI race to China, right? President Trump says that. Everybody says that, but they say it because it's true. And they say because it's true. See, just when I thought, "Y'all are manipulating me. This shit's probably not that bad." Whatever. This is why. What do you believe? This is why from the beginning, I was not saying, "Hey, let me tell you exactly what this is. I know for sure all of these are lying. I don't know why. I don't know who's telling somewhat of the truth and which part of what they're saying is the truth. All I know is that manipulation seems to be here. This does appear to be a scop, but looking around saying the reason why everybody is saying China is cuz it's true while darting your eyes back and forth. Maybe he's just not built for this. Maybe he shouldn't be, I don't know, taking questions. Maybe he shouldn't be talking to the press cuz you looked untrustworthy. And as for Sir Donald Trump calling in to uh the All-In podcast, that's uh that's cool.
1:02:54That's uh that's pretty cool. You were able to just call him. He picked up and um and he said that it's all a hoax. It's fake news. It's all fake. I How do I put this? I I don't think that did what you thought it was going to do. I think um I think it actually if anything made more people think let me let me hear what Bernie has to say because bro Donald Trump talking about this is all a hoax that's like him saying everything's cool with the Iran war that's not a war and it's already over and all of the different he's been saying with that. I don't think that that was the call you should have made. It's like um it's like playing that that uh that game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire where you get that that one call where you just don't know the question.
1:03:55You don't know the answer to the question. It's like, "Hey, I I got my one lifeline and I'm going to I'm going to use it." Ring ring ring. Hey, this is uh this is a little bit embarrassing, but I need you. you're my lifeline and I don't have the answer. This was like picking the the wrong person. They didn't they didn't know. They they chose A. It was C. You went home with no money. And as you were on your way home, you were on a drive. You were there with your wife. She's disappointed. You hate yourself even more than you did before this whole game show thing. They said it'd be fun either way. That's what you told yourself. You know it's not true. You're banking on this the credit card debt that's racking up. You thought finally this is going to be the way you get out of the hole. As you are on this car ride, it's quiet. Nobody speaking. Literally can hear the rhythm between you and your wife's breath.
1:04:56You just think to yourself, why why the did I let that person be my lifeline? What what was I thinking? That's what that was. That's what that was. That wasn't That wasn't the call to make. That wasn't That wasn't the answer. It's all a hoax. Data centers are good. No, it's wrong answer. I'm not saying I'm not saying that the other people are right. By the way, I'm not. It just makes a lot of people reconsider what Bernie was saying. people at this prohuman assembly because you saying it's a hoax, your word isn't really worth But Mr. Papa Bear Bernie, I I want to pick on you a little bit more if that's okay. He went on to CBS. He had a little bit more to say. He's been on a rampage, honestly. He not only despises the richest of the rich, the rich are cool.
1:05:57The rich are fine, but the richest, not only does he despise them, he he can't stand these AI companies that will make these rich ass bastards even richer. It's disgusting. Well, Senator, thank you very much for being here. Thank you.
1:06:12There are so many alarm bells going off about AI right now. It's all everybody is talking about level set with us. On a scale of 1 to 10, How would you rate the severity of this crisis right now?
1:06:24Look, I'm not a computer scientist. Uh I'm not a Nobel Prize.
1:06:29So was it it was scientists? They are computer scientists that are working on this. So earlier in his speech when he was saying and the scientists they say maybe I misspoke. It shows what I know. Maybe it is computer scientists. I I don't know. I don't know. I just I think I think it is after like postcoid when somebody's like and we talk to scientists. It's like h can you can you drop some names? Who who actually has their name next to this Give me some give me some doctor Dr. somebody. Let me let me look them up. Let me see their credibility. Let me actually look at these people because just saying like a blanket scientist. It's it just again it might be just postco it feels a little bit like I don't know. Maybe maybe this was right all along. This is what happens. Just what's what's happened to us? Just so little trust in society. What's happened? what's happened indeed Winning physics professor who I've talked to Physics
1:07:28But there are folks out there who have studied this issue for decades who now feel
1:07:33Uh that as AI becomes smarter than human beings there is a reasonable chance that it will escape human control of this in the last few weeks
1:07:44Once independent of human control there is a possibility that it could be a cataclysmic impact
1:07:51This is on purpose. I'm not going to lie, this is a master class right now. If you just if you just wanted to be a lizard person and manipulate people with your speech, uh, here you go. Here you go. Reptilian politicking for dummies. Here you go. The fact that he he he keeps like punctuating his words, like certain particular words. Look how his eyes go big on certain words. What's this? On humanity, But a possibility, Right?
1:08:28There have been assessments that as you've seen from the former anthropic researcher. Um, do you share that in terms of the timeline? All I can tell you is that if somebody doing a dangerous technology and they acknowledge that that technology is escaping their control and that it could be cataclysmic for the future of humanity. You know what you listen very carefully and you act now and you say you know what maybe it's a good idea that human beings retain control of this planet and not artificial intelligence. So, we've got to move and we've got to move quickly.
1:09:10You are speaking today on the same stage as Steve Bannon. You two are very different politically. But what do you agree on with him? What is it?
1:09:19Well, I think he understands that at the grassroots level of this country, whether you're conservative, progressive, moderate, people are deeply concerned about almost every aspect of AI. And they are also saying we have had no input into what AI may mean in terms of loss of millions of jobs, our privacy rights. We're worried about the mental health of our kids, their cognitive capabilities. Now, this existential threat, all of this is being pushed by a handful of the wealthiest people on earth.
1:09:54I'm not going to lie, bro. Had me. That's what this works. This works. And then honestly, like I'm going open even though you literally feel like a cartoon character to me at this point. Like you literally look like a caricature of what a politician would be. Go on the internet. I even like putting all that aside, like if you're saying some that makes sense, I'll I'll hear you out. Then he just he just can't help it. He just can't help it. It's all being done by the wealthiest people. His eyes going big. the wealthiest people. That's how you know they're bad. It's Sir, you have two more homes than you need. You have three homes, Bernie. Papa Bear Bernie, what are you talking about? What are you What are you talking about? It's like September, so did you just leave your summer home? How uh how is it, by the way?
1:10:49Literally never missing a meal for decades. Like why are you acting like you are some impoverished person? You are one of the rich people. Let's let's take let's rewind the tape and hear how you were talking before you became a multi-millionaire yourself. Cuz then it it was them, right? Then you switch it up and now it's the richest. It's not the rich, it's the richest. They're the ones. It's like you had me, bro. And then you made the argument about something that it didn't need to be about. Because if if your true if your true fear was around this AI, this like you know what I mean? If you had a a true like a doomer outlook on on what's to come with AI, I'm sorry, but the the last thing you would be worried about is like this making somebody more wealthy. This is going to make him more wealthy in the process. It's like, yeah, but you're talking about the end of the world, sir. Money is not going to be an object.
1:11:46Not because abundance everywhere, but because you said the end of the world. So which is it? Is the world going to end or are you worried that this person is going to get richer? Because these two different scenarios, one money matters, the other money does not. One is in society, the other one is post society. What are we talking about, bro? What do you actually think is going to happen? What what's what's what's behind that mask, Bernie? besides a lizard, what's what's behind that mask?
1:12:19And I think whether you're conservative or you're progressive, you're saying, "Where is the United States Congress?
1:12:24Where why aren't the elected officials of this country representing where the the concerns of ordinary people?" And that gets us to unfortunately a corrupt campaign finance system and the fact that AI is going to be spending hundreds of millions of dollars on this election.
1:12:41Do you think your colleagues understand? Do you think your colleagues in Congress understand this issue enough to establish regulations?
1:12:50Is she having a stroke? What? Like do you smell do you smell like toast or some Like what what what just happened? I'm I'm sorry. Like Like I don't ever misspeak. Happens all the time. I'm just, you know, again, it's one of those things postcoid my my trust in mainstream media though. It's fun to pull some clips and look at some people. It um I I can't trust you. That's never going to happen again. Clearly, it's not going to happen again. Not after you guys all blatantly lied to us in lock step with one another. Just looking at this from a cynical view. Again, I might be wrong. This might just be my postcoid haziness, like my my just honestly just my distrust in in the media and politicians, all of it. But this feels like you are, you know, what the arguments against what Bernie is saying.
1:13:50Like, hey, you know, some people like she's she's saying the things that she knows other people are saying, but she's setting them up for an alleyoop. like these are all I guarantee you he knew every single question beforehand. This isn't like it's a conversation where it's like yeah and and honestly yeah like let me let me talk about what you're saying. Let me expound upon that and then ask a question because of genuine curiosity. No, it's just it almost is one of those things like wow look at those two puppets talking to each other acting human. I I don't know. Maybe this whole AI thing is is a hoax. Maybe maybe this whole dumerism thing is just a scop. I don't I think it is
