Sunny Hostin & The Cornell 7 Backlash

Episode 48 · October 8, 2026 · 1 hr 0 min

Sunny Hostin said something on The View that people actually noticed, and now people are calling her a victim blamer. XO digs into the Cornell 7 backlash: the panel's takes, the "Daniel and Goliath" slip, frat-house stereotypes, and how New York's consent laws turned a messy night into a national argument.

About this episode

Sunny Hostin of The View got hit with a backlash over her comments on the Cornell 7 case, in which a former student filed a civil suit alleging she was drugged and assaulted by seven fraternity members in 2024. XO walks through what was said on the panel, why critics called Hostin a victim blamer, and why The View might be quietly thrilled that anyone is talking about it.

Along the way: frat-house stereotypes and hazing, a confusing detour into the Tate brothers, a panelist's "Daniel and Goliath" mix-up, and what the reported details of that night say about consent. XO closes on New York's consent law, the university's handling of the case, and why the people pointing to the facts keep getting shouted down.

0:02So, this lady that you probably never heard of, Sunny Holston, has gotten some people upset. She got some people angry at some of the things that she said about the Cornell 7. And now people are saying that she is not empathetic. They're saying that she is a victim blamer. are saying that she is a woman that doesn't believe other women. Ouch. This is a very dark week for Sunny. And while it's a bad day for her, I'm guessing there's a whole bunch of people at the view that are absolutely giddy and excited by the fact that anybody is talking about anything that has happened in one of their episodes. I'm sure they look at this as just collateral damage for a well-needed reminder for people like me, for people like you, for I'm guessing most people in America that needed just a little bit of a reminder about The View.

1:05Like, hey, that uh that show The View that you may or may not have even heard of, they still exist. They still have a program that's running. So, uh, come on down, take a gander, take a listen. We got some things to talk about at the view. And, yeah, we might make some people upset. I'm sorry, Sunny. It had to happen. But now, at least people are tuning in. Cornell University is in the national spotlight

1:34After a former female student filed a civil suit claiming that she was drugged, assaulted, and gang raped by seven fraternity brothers in 2024. A fraternity group chat from the night the incident occurred was leaked.

1:50I'm sorry. I know this is a serious matter, but could you imagine that being like your grandma or some Seven. Like you know that she she just like screeches at people when she's asking for things even in a nice way. Like nice for her is still that seven. And I know again this is a a very serious topic if you can't tell. I'm taking it serious. But I I just couldn't. It It was kind of grading to the ear. But I'm I'm sorry. Continue.

2:18Where members were invited to participate in the assault. The accused students were in charge in 2024 and District Attorney Matthew Van Hton is defending that decision now that the case has been reopened. Okay, watch.

2:35What was said in social media about this case was true. those fraternity members would be in prison right now. She clearly consented in the beginning and there was never any indication that she

2:49Hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm just going to I got to pause it there because this is the complete opposite. So, this is the DA. Like, if there was a case, this would be the person that would be trying for a case. This his job, I'm pretty sure. Not a lawyer. I know I may appear to have gone to law school, but actually I'm just a ordinary citizen just like you. So if he's saying that she clearly consented, there was clearly no case here and there's nothing we could really do about it. What the hell was that lady talking about? The one that was screeching what what was she talking about? She she had seven people that gang raped her. Like she she was screeching it like it was a fact. And then she was like, "And now that it's being reopened, the DA is just defending what his decision was." It's like, "Hey, uh, yeah, she she said she was consenting to this, so I couldn't I couldn't label it as an assault or a rape or anything like that.

3:49I'm sorry." Oh, okay. Well, it's it's kind of conflicting. Maybe maybe it's one of those we have to hear the full story. Clearly, there's there's something here. And we haven't even gotten to Sunny who has pissed off so many people.

4:06We changed that to the things that she participated in. If you are voluntary intoxicated or under the influence of drugs Such that your your judgment is impaired,

4:18That does not legally under the penal law constitute your inability to consent. We will present the case to the grand jury in good faith and present every bit of evidence. So, this case has stirred up so much emotion and sparked conversations about reporting sexual assault and problems with campus culture. So, I asked you girls, what strikes you the most about this about this story?

4:44Actually, I know before we get to you ladies, I'm I'm going to put in my two cents. I think what strikes me the the most is the fact that again, this is the complete opposite of how you started the episode off. You started the episode off there. There's a woman that was gang raped. Like gang raped. That's like that paints a picture. I I don't know. Like I'm I'm a like I see it when you say seven men gang raped. I I see seven men in a room and like you know what I mean? A helpless like I I don't I don't know. It it paints a very dark picture the way that she said it. And then you hear the DA come up and he's just like, "Yeah, she was consenting when you are drunk as fuck." And you say that you're down for something and then later you're like, "Damn, I was drunk. I really shouldn't have done that if I was sober. I wouldn't have done it. No, nobody forced me to drink.

5:40No, nobody drugged me." But it was a mistake. That's I'm sorry, not something that we can legally go after anybody for. You made a bad decision. Welcome to the club. I do it every Thursday. Like, you know what I mean? It's it's it's one of those. That's probably what strikes me first. But ladies, please. I'm sorry. I uh will give you the floor. Well, that Snapchat message or a series of messages

6:09Actually. Yeah. Let me what you saying. That just made me think of some You're right. That snap that was crazy. The fact that they had screenshots of them all talking about it. I I didn't like see exactly what the messages were, but from what I've heard, it is like something crazy like, "Hey, she's she's ready and some some crazy like that." I'm not going to lie, that's that's that's wild. That's wild as hell. Like to even be like just openly talking about it. Maybe there isn't any law there that you could come after them for, but I mean, Jesus, I just hope that they're at least like blasted. me for being a piece of right? Like at least people will will know that like this is how they I I don't know. It just it it is pretty wild. And it's on Snapchat, too. So, like who who took a screenshot? Did y were y'all saving these messages? Like the audacity like the the the fact that you just thought that everything was okay for you to just save.

7:14I don't know. I have so many questions for it, but I'm sorry. I did that was a little bit rude. So please continue with what you were saying Was just absolutely horrifying and

7:24Someone saw that those messages. The DA said that Cornell had them. Someone saw them and I don't know how anyone doesn't perceive that as being an invitation to rape. see other young men on that chap gleefully applauding what was happening and expressing pride in the fraternity and then going over to the house to partake in what was being offered.

7:48I'm sorry again. It's a very it's a very serious subject. I I just kind of want to start it off by saying that. It's like are you are you really surprised that that frat brothers are are doing this? I'm I'm not going to lie, that's like one of those things. I personally never been in a fraternity. One, I never went to a college like that. I did like some online but I never like went to a college. And even if I did, ain't no way I'm going to go to a fraternity where they do that hazing They do a whole bunch of gay Like, you saw that Euphoria episode where they come in while bro sitting here trying to like Sydney Sweeney. It's It's a lot. It's a lot. And that's just like one of those things where it is a stereotype. And maybe it's not every fraternity, but for me personally, it's kind of baked in. Like, yeah, that's that's kind of the vibe that you're going with over there. And if somebody joins, unless I guess maybe it's some legacy thing where you're doing it cuz your dad and your dad's dad and all of that you just have to join in with the family and that's what you do.

8:51Okay. But I feel like for the most part, if you're joining a fraternity, you you're kind of one of those people that lean towards that personality type. You feel me? Maybe I'm wrong. I honestly I don't know of anybody like at least that I'm aware of. I don't know anybody that's even been in a fraternity. So, I don't know. What strikes me as odd since uh you know we're using that type of words. What strikes me as odd from what you're saying is the fact that you're acting shocked. You're not Come on. You're not really surprised by this. Let's Let's be real. And I get it. you're on TV, you're in front of a camera or whatever, but you're not you're not really surprised, right? The fact that people gleefully were just responding to this text. They were sitting here messaging each other saying that this girl wants to have sex and then she's willing and come on down.

9:47The fact that they were like, "Yeah, sign us up, Alpha Pie, dude." You know what I mean? I don't understand. Shut shut up. Yes. You know what's up. you know what's up. Oh yeah.

10:01I just don't understand how that is not being perceived as as as being solicitation Or intent to do harm.

10:09Well, and we know that one in three women will be sexually assaulted in their life uh lifetime of one in three.

10:14One in three according to the World Health Organization. Um and I think that

10:17That's wild. One in three women. Can we just take a moment to say

10:23How disgusting men are for that? Let's let's just be and this isn't one of those like virtue signaling. It's like we're awesome, too. You know what I mean? That doesn't mean one in three men are raping. But I'm not going to lie, the the amount of people I would say more than one in three girls that I've known, like to the point where like they've told me some like that. The amount of people that have told me that they have been raped, it it is crazy. So, I don't know. That's That's insane. I I was watching this show. what's it called? It's the Cameron or some like that. It was like some funny show on Netflix. And it was like back hundreds and hundreds of years ago. And they ended up showing this girl that she was like, she was young, like a young, like a little teeny bopper, like 14 or whatever the was going out, finally felt old enough to go into the city and she was going shopping.

11:19And you just tell she was innocent, young, and blah blah blah. you just see this dirty, dingy ass looking. I'm talking about these are old days where he's got robes and he's just like lurking around. And even back then, even back then, it's like I think I think we do need to remind ourselves that we're just animals. And I know it sounds bad, but it's just like, yeah, man. Men are driven by sex. It just it is what it is. Like people will do some nasty and by people, men will do some nasty ass for sex because the whole thing with New York saying, well, hey, the law is if you voluntarily take a substance and then you happen to do some sort of sexual activity and you consent to that activity, but then later you have kind of like buyer's remorse where it's like, "Oh, I shouldn't have done that because I was up." That law that's in place, let's be real, that's only for women.

12:20There's there's like name one man unless it was like a man getting attacked by another man or some like that. But name one man that gets up, ends up drinking 10 beers, I think is what they end up saying. Drinks 10 beers, is up, meets some girl, let's say, you know what I mean? She's a two on a good day. You know what I mean? Like ugly as You would never You would never have done it. And it's like, you know, let's be real. I'm sorry if that offends you, but it's like ugly ass. She a bag with feet basically is what you found. And you wake up the next day and that's what you that's what you see. Good morning. I was thinking we had breakfast. I made some coffee. I love you. By remorse. I was up. I didn't do it. Tell me I didn't do it. You did it. There's pictures.

13:16There's videos. In fact, there's there's videos of you saying that this was the best sex you've ever had and that you never want to anybody else ever again. But now that you've sobered up, you realize that, hey, this bag with legs needs to go back to where she came from because this this can't happen. I was up. You're you're not going to go to the police station and say that you were raped because you got drunk and you know what I mean, made a bad decision. I think that as much as I know that they're about to say against that law, like there there is some I don't know there's something to stand on there. Don't don't don't sit here and tell me just because you had some drinks and you made a bad decision, get in line. You're not the only one. You're not the only one making bad decisions after doing some some drugs or doing like drinking some alcohol.

14:16You feel me? Like you think you think you're the only one that had sex with somebody and wishes they didn't. Come on now.

14:26Rape culture is something our country has grappled with for a long time. But I think it's on hypers speed with the rise of a dark corner of what I would call the manosphere. Uh the tape brothers got millions and millions of streams. a lot of young men look up to them and this idea of what masculinity is. Right now, they are uh currently being held in federal prison over rape and sex trafficking charges. The Tate brothers uh stemming from charges in the UK. They've denied these allegations, but I want to

14:52What? what? We're talking about the Cornell 7. Why are you talking about the Tate brothers? Who cares about the tape brothers? Did she just say I I honestly This is a This is an issue that's been in America in our country for a long time. Not just our country, by the way. Again, this this is like the dawn of man. Like, you feel me? Like, like go back to the Gangghaskhan or whatever. Who was what did they do? They would take people's wives and in battle. Like, come on, bro. Like, this is this has been something. It's just like, well, how how long were women just treated as property? Like, that is where people just sold off their daughters literally like property. Come on, man. We're going to really act like this is just one country, but for you to bring it to the tape, brothers. I know. I know. Again, this is a sensitive topic, but you must be stupid. You must be stupid. And I mean that. I was going to say respectfully, but I I I I don't mean it respectfully.

15:47I don't mean it disrespectfully. I just mean it. You know what I mean? I just I just mean it. You must be stupid. And I get it. We're all locked into our own frame of reference. You probably hate the tape brothers. You've probably seen so many clips and videos of them and you know you just you hate them so much. But we're not talking about that. Okay. And for you to even suggest that the reason why this girl may or may not who knows again the the evidence is clear and that's part of what people get so pissed at Sunny about is she was like, "Hey, you know, she did say in her own words that she consented to this. this like let's let's define what rape is. You know what I mean? It's like, but put put that aside for you to to act, let's say it was true, for you to act like this would have happened because of the tape brothers cuz Andrew Tate says some about whatever the I don't again, who who cares about them talking about this is just influencing so many people.

16:50And I know this is anecdotal, but just like I couldn't tell you one thing that either of the tape brothers have said. In fact, I know Andrew Tate. I Who's the other Tate brother? The But this is such a a big influence, right? For you to even suggest that any woman girl is getting sexually assaulted because of these brothers. That's That's insane. And if you truly believe that, you're stupid as And I I I told you I meant it. I told you I meant it. Even if you don't believe it, for you to put that out, knowing that you're on camera, knowing that you're sitting there talking to How many viewers do they get? Like 30,000. I'm just They on my numbers, right? Like, you know what I mean? I can't I'm like, but it's the view. It's the view. Either way, for you to talk to however many people are in your audience and to make them like make them think that, yeah, it's those tape brothers.

17:49They're making it worse. H have they like where are the numbers to back that up? Have have the numbers actually like gone up since they became known or is it pretty steady? Cuz I would guess if I had to because I don't know. I don't know the numbers. So I'm not going to just say some off-the-wall like it's those two. But if I had to guess, I would say it's about the same. And that's what the issue is for you to sit here and and act like this is anything modern. like this is anything that's caused by a particular person or even group of people. Well, I guess it could be a group of people because there are a set of oligarchs that clearly set a different a different set of rules for people that do crimes like this for the Jeffrey Epstein in the world. You know what I mean? Like you you make your argument sound so goddamn stupid when you say some like well and you know it's it's because of the rise of the tape brothers like what what else do you have to say?

18:55No. Who saw that those Snapchats and didn't think the masculine thing to do right now is to go see if this girl is okay? The masculine thing to do is to call the police. The masculine thing to do is to be the person who says, "Shut this down. This is dangerous. This is wrong." It's it's a horrific story. I do want to remind people.

19:15See, but that's what's crazy. I feel like and maybe I don't know. I've never been in a situation like this. So, but I feel like I know a lot of people that would that would react just like how I would where it's kind of like in in the the cliche that you see in the movies where you see a woman getting attacked or like her purse is getting stolen or some in the in the streets. Hey buddy, what you doing? You know what I mean? You're going to say like it's almost natural reaction. I feel like I know so many people. I feel like I feel like I feel like every man that I know that I actually interact with like on a voluntary basis, I feel like every single one of them would step step up in that situation. You feel me? It's just like I I I don't know. I I think to just automatically assume that everybody would just be like, "Oh yeah, it." And you know what I mean?

20:11Just start putting their their frat signs up or whatever whatever the hell these be doing.

20:17Well, these men are still entitled to due process. And if they are found guilty, I want them tried to the fullest extent of the law. I want them to get the consequences that they deserve because women who are victims of sexual assault will live the rest of their lives with the mental harm of that with the physical harm of that. But we do need to remember they have yet to actually have their day in court.

20:35You know, to your point, Gloria Steinum, the great Gloria Steinum, who recently passed away, she said something so important. She said, "We've learned how to raise our girls like boys,

20:47But we have not learned how to raise our boys like girls."

20:50Yeah. And she's not talking about gender identification. She's talking about the socialization of boys and how they are not they are seem to be free to do whatever harm they want to do on girls. What they should be and I think that

21:06What what we've taught like like break down what she actually just said. We I and I had to pause it for a second and bring it right the back because I I thought for sure she was going somewhere with that. She said, "We've taught our girls to act more like boys, but we forgot to tell our boys to act more like girls." And for I wanted to pause it there because it's like, are you are you are you serious? We're really going to do this? Come on now. out of all the times in history, this is the most boys get to act like girls time in history that we've ever been in. Come on now. And then she went on to say, and I'm not talking about uh you know what I mean, gender, whatever the she was talking about. She she went on to say that this is because men just basically get to do whatever.

22:02And that's what that's the opposite of them being taught to act like girls. That made no sense. What is What is happening? What is this? Is this is what you have to say though, by the way, in order not to get people upset at you about this. the fact that Sunny's gonna come in and she's gonna say anything that contradicts this stupid the stupidity that that these people have been spewing out. That's that's probably why she really got so many people pissed off at least or sorry when we're see hearing the DA say legally, you know, this is what I'm talking about. What I can't look at it with legal eyes. I'm not a lawyer. This comes in and she just starts Hey, I you know I she a I told you she ain't know what the she was talking about either.

23:00The girls need to act like boys and the boys don't act like girls though. And and I'm not talking about gender things. I'm talking about the boys just do whatever they want. It's like god damn. What I feel at this point I'm feeling like a bully if I continue to to comment on these people and what they're saying. This is this is crazy. But I'm I'm at least happy to see that what what they popped her name up. Sarah I'm happy to see that Sarah Haynes clearly was baffled by whatever the the last lady was saying. Just I just you know I'm not a lawyer but now what what what were you saying? you don't like to look at the law or some

23:45I don't look at these stories from like criminal criminal responsibility in this. I look often as a parent and I have boys and girls. So your gut when you read this is, "Oh my god, let me protect my daughter." But honestly, there's a bigger responsibility in how we're raising our sons. Yes.

24:01And when I I remember early on in parenting thinking your whole life you think about uh when they're young bullying like

24:08I hope my child doesn't get bullied. God forbid my child is the bully. But we what we don't

24:14Your their whole life. Hey, I ain't going to lie, parent. How you going to parent? When they're young, you worry their whole life that they don't get bullied. It's like, oh, and God forbid that they're the bully. I I mean, I don't I don't want my kid to get picked on. Best believe you go to the park and if I if I see some sort of interaction I'm going to look but um what their whole life you just think about whether or not they got they're going to get bullied or not and then god forbid what's worse than them getting bullied. Imagine them being the bully. I don't know. I mean I don't know. That's kind of that's kind of weird. That's like said, imagine the whole life that that your child might get assaulted. You know, it'd be even worse if they assaulted somebody.

25:10I don't I don't know. I think I'd rather I think I'd rather pick up my daughter from jail. What happened? I beat this motherfucker's ass. What do you mean? That's a lot better than you crying and saying something happened. That is where I have to agree with this lady. that yeah, if you are a parent, it's hard not to look at this as a parent first. It's hard not to look at that. That's why I was like, bro, the law at a certain point. But that's just that's just kind of me. Like I think that there are certain crimes like this one. Like that PDF files do, like like just like Jeffrey Dmer type You feel me? Like there there are certain things out there where it's just like, bro, they they just got to go. this guy. Let let's just like get them out, you know, natural selection, survival of the fittest, and then hopefully like evolution or some like we'll eventually put it into our biology to get these out because I unfortunately don't think that it's something that can really change.

26:17Not really. you know, like as somebody that had a little sister growing up, I was terrified. Like absolutely terrified that something like that was going to happen because also like as a man, it well obviously then I was a boy, but as somebody that you feel like you're in a position where you got to be the protector, you know what I mean? Like I was big bro. I got like if something happens that puts you in a position, you know, if something happens to go, god forbid happens to your child, you're in the position now where how are you going to respond. You feel me? Where it's like you see so many stories where where yeah, something like that happens and then the dad goes and and murders the kid. It's just like I I don't care if it was some 16-year-old kid. You know what he did to my daughter? You feel me? was just like, damn, I I know what the law says. So, it's like, I feel you when it comes to looking at things from a parent lens first.

27:15It's like, but I do still want to like land somewhere in reality, you feel me? I don't want to be in La La Land. It's the Tate Brothers. IT'S THE IT'S BEEN THEM EVER SINCE. And then she just like randomly, like, not to bring it back to that but she just like randomly tried to make sense at the end. And you know, by the way, just to let you know, there due process needs to happen. This is all allegedly. These boys are still denying the crimes. And you know, if if they do end up being found guilty, I think they should be held to the fullest extent of the law. But if not, you know, it's like, don't try to make sense now, Like, you're just trying to say it was the whatever. Whatever. I I I know I'm going off topic.

27:59Talk about enough is rarely are the kids the Daniel or the Goliath. They're often the ones What? The Daniel and the Goliath. I knew this was stupid, too. I think this this might be a part of the like interview process. It's like you have to do certain questions and if you get them right trick trick question actually. You weren't supposed to answer them correctly. You need to be dumb. You need to actually be a little bit Okay. It's it's something that we mandate here at the view. Um because you can't actually have a point of view that makes sense. You know, the more stupid you are, the better chances that we have some sort of clip that goes viral. Yes, it'll be making fun of you and how stupid your opinion is. Whatever. It's okay. And if you do try to make sense, godamn, they're going to come after you. It's going to be good for us at the view, but they're going to come after you, you bigot.

29:00But this lady just said Daniel and Goliath. I'm I'm not like some sort of biblical scholar. I'm not even really religious, per se. I'm barely agnostic. Think that there is a power greater than myself. But um yeah, I don't I don't know I don't know who's right. And I feel like that's okay. But I do know one thing. I do I do know one thing in the in the book uh the Bible there there's a giant named Goliath and he does have to go against somebody but it's not Daniel it's it's David it's David and Goliath. David and Goliath. I I don't know how I can take anything else that this lady says seriously. Yes, we all misspeak. I do it all the time. I do it every single day.

29:56But Daniel and Glad it's it's it's not like she corrects herself. Whatever. Maybe I'm just nitpicking now.

30:03Standing around. And have we raised our children and do we continue to raise the kids that when the group is doing one thing, they're the one that said this is not okay.

30:13They stand up strong because you're the mention of the test. That's what Daniel would do. regardless of what was going on, which we're going to learn a lot more as they reopen this.

30:20There were people that read that that didn't pick up a phone, that didn't get involved in the right way, and we need it more than ever from these. I say boys, but they're they're adults. They're men.

30:32We need our men jumping up and saying this is not okay more than ever. See, but I don't know much about the view, but I do know that they lean so far left that they up their their shoulder most of the times because they just fall over in their mind. They they they can't really ask men to be men, can they? No. You We just want our men to stand up. They are standing up. They all have tits now. They all have tits and they want a Sorry. Sorry. And the ones that are straight, the ones that are still there, well, they still kind of talk like this. Because this is what you like, right? I'm not at all aggressive. It's your choice. I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't I don't know why. Maybe it's because I have a son. And it's like, bro, I I don't I don't It's a It's a It's a tight walk cuz I want you to be you.

31:30I want you to be you. Lord knows I just want you to be you. But when it's like a whatever, if you're if you're gay and you want to do the voice, whatever, when you're a straight man and you're you're still talking like that, like what are you doing? Cuz let's let's not, you know what I mean? Everybody has different voice, you know, tones or whatever. Some people have deeper voices. Some people do have high pitched voices. I've met people with high pitched voices that don't sound gay. So, this isn't me saying like, "Oh, you high pitched voice men." Haha. Like, no. It's not like I got some was it Barry Manalow or whatever the It's not like I got some deep ass voice like Morgan Freeman or some No, but there are people with high pitch voices that don't sound like that. Like Kevin Hart. man got a high ass voice, but he don't sound gay.

32:29I don't I don't know why, but it's such a pet peeve of mine. Not a pet peeve, cuz it's like whatever you do, you It's like I just don't I just genuinely It's like what? Like, what the are you doing? It's like when I see somebody with a mask. This is the perfect analogy. This is the perfect analogy. It's not like I'm like, "What are you take that mask off? This is It doesn't do anything. You're retarded." It's actually work. Like I could I could go through all of the things where it's like your mask doesn't make sense. But at the end of the day, there's a code I have where it's kind of like live and let live. It's like, but I'd be lying if I see it. And I'm like, that's just stupid. What are you the you doing? That's how I feel. That's how I feel with this when you just got a a straight man that just comes up. It's just like, what? You're talking about your wife. Does she know about him? And by him, I'm assuming your boyfriend is around here somewhere. The what? What are you talking about? So don't say men should stand up because they are you just didn't realize they were men because they just look like masculine women.

33:33Sorry. This is what you wanted. This is this is what happens.

33:40And there's something going on in this like frat boy culture. Yeah.

33:44Right. Just this week alone, there are three stories of hideous things happening inside fraternities at universities in this country. And it's only Tuesday. Yeah, You know,

33:56It's only Tuesday. These are bro. That's why I I have come to the conclusion. I don't know, y'all. Your IQ may be above 100, but I just don't think it is. Okay. I just don't think it is. I think I think we're just and which which I really should just I should change up my stance now because now that I know that clearly there's something going on there, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh. I shouldn't be so quick to judge. I I should just give you a hug and hope that you're okay. I What? It's only Tuesday. It's like she does again. You're either ignorant to how the news cycle works or you're just feeding into the which I don't know which one is worse. I I genuinely don't. I genuinely don't. But yes, I'm I'm sure there are a whole bunch of stories. That's kind of what I've been saying. This isn't because of the tape brothers.

34:53This didn't just start popping off. What's going on with fraternities? This has always happened. It's always happening. Like it's always happening. It's always happening. So if you look up how many people get taken every single day. Every single day. People are just getting taken. Just being napped. Not just kids. Like grown ass people taken. trafficked. It is only Tuesday. No, Like there's there's something that's happening. Just since I have to spell it out for you, there's something that's happening that's capturing people's attention with the Cornell 7. This happened two years ago because it's popping back up. For some reason, it's sparking interest again. And I say for some reason, not saying it doesn't matter, but I'm saying for some reason because this is always happening. Then other news outlets say, "Huh, look at what's happening.

35:50Let me go ahead and capitalize on this moment and make people think, "Oh, there's some sort of a spree happening amongst all the colleges and fraternities, these frat boys. What is what's going on with the culture?" No. Like, oh, you guys want to hear some up college stories? I'll show you some rape. Bam. Here's another one and another one and another one. And it's only Tuesday.

36:17There's something going on. And even when you think about just these hazing rituals, they're often just so demeaning and dehumanizing. And these

36:25She forgot gay. I again, I know that they lean really left there as somebody that doesn't care about either team.

36:33They do some gay ass They do some gay ass And again, I don't know anybody that's actually been in a fraternity, so maybe maybe it is just all in movies and It's like, but that's how I look at it. Oh yeah, I'll come and hit your nuts. Now you got to watch the whole thing after doing it. You pledge. I don't I don't know. Like I see I see like Yeah, that's whatever that character was that I just did. That's how I see it. Just like, yeah, this is how it's always been. So yes, the hazing, the gayness, the drugging women, the sexual assaults and the rapes and all of that Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like this is like when I think of frat houses, that's what I think of. Like if my daughter was like, "Hey, I want to go to a frat party." I was just like, "Wait, this is what's going to be there. That's literally what I would be thinking in my head." That's just as somebody that's never been to one. It's like I just I can't imagine how you could be shocked at at this point in your life when you hear this.

37:34Are the young men who are going to go on and lead our institutions and these values are being inculcated in them at a young age at these universities and they're essentially being given permission. Well, they're

37:48Is she okay and just just kind of throwing it out there. These are going to be the young men that are leading us in the future. Blah blah blah. Are we going to pretend like the people leading us now aren't up? Like what what what about the culture they went through? cuz whatever they went through, they're doing I promise they done did the same if not worse. I promise. I promise. That's why it's like it just it's always happened. This isn't this isn't new. And I'm not saying it's okay. It just is, man.

38:17Also, holding those loyalties to keep secrets. So, it's also usually this vow of loyalty to this group of people that may not have your best interest in mind. And that's what then becomes the culture of certain clubs as you get power and rank is, you know, we don't turn in our own. Well, that's a danger.

38:34I like just talk about the law for for because I I I think it's important. She about to piss some people off. Why the DA did not bring a case. Um Jane In 2024. In 2024, I I actually have the statement um that um Jane Doe wrote At that time. And um

38:53Just give it to us in a sentence. We're not allowed. Just give it to us in a sentence. We're not trying to hear all that. Bro, that needs to shut the up. I'm just telling you that right now. That couldn't be my grandma. I That couldn't be my grandma. Which Which parent of mine has a mom for that? What the No, I'm not hanging out with your mom. Mom, like, did you enjoy growing up with that voice? No, that shrill voice. No, don't don't subject me to that. Good God. Just keep it down to a sentence. That ain't spoke one time. This ain't this this this lady hasn't spoke one single time. The whole the whole reason why people are pissed off is because of what she said. The whole reason why I'm even talking about this whole episode is because of what she says. Soon as she goes into we're just trying to keep it a one sentence. You know, shut your old ass up the All the time. Um it's it's it's several pages long. I know, but

39:53It's nine pages long. And I will say that under current New York state law,

39:59That's that's the other thing that I wanted to pause that for. I almost forgot. Can we just for a moment notice how reluctant she seems? She knows. That's why I don't know. This might be like an inside job. The view might have really said, "Hey, look, numbers are down. Somebody's got to get run over by a bus today, you know. And it's um it's it's your time, Sunny. It's your time. We we love you. You know, we love you. We're we're going to give you a chance to explain yourself, but it's that time. She looks so reluctant. I I'm not sure if she believes what she is saying or if this is truly orchestrated, but Sunny hosting everybody.

40:52Voluntary intoxication or drug use. And she voluntarily drank a lot. She voluntarily took uh snorted ketamine off of one of the boys's body parts. Oh she a freaky When she arrived at the frat house,

41:07She was highly intoxicated, but had made plans to meet one of the boy young men. Okay. She's trying to get some dick.

41:14She allowed other boys and consented to other boys uh snorting ketamine off of her body. Oh.

41:20Um and under New York law, voluntary intoxication or drug use that merely impairs judgment does not legally constitute an inability to consent to sexual activity. Right.

41:30Right. So that means if you voluntarily ingest drugs, you voluntarily take alcohol,

41:36Yeah. You can agree to have threesomes, which in her statement, she agreed to have two separate threesomes.

41:45One boy did walk in. One young man did walk in and say everybody out. So there was one person that did.

41:52Can we I'm just going to pause it right there. This is a I'm just I don't know. I don't know this young lady. Clearly if she is truly a victim, which in her own words, she's not. So, I feel like I'm in safe territory right now. But, um, if I had to guess, while I don't know this young lady, I would assume that she has a very touchy, if not non-existent, relationship with her father. It's just it's just my my read. I could be reading it completely wrong. I'll throw that out there. I could be off on this one, but if I had to guess, she she doesn't she doesn't really see daddy too much. So, she finds daddy at these parties. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying anything.

42:47I'm just two different threesomes in one night sitting there texting. She was planning all this came in up doing ketamine lines off of people's body parts and God damn. All I'm saying is again when I think of frat party this that's what I think of

43:14That and according to her statement three of the young men did not touch her. And so I say all The thing I wonder is

43:23But I say all that um I'm going to just pause right there. I just now I'm just kind of processing this with you. You know what I mean? Like in real time. I like it better that way. I just now thought of the fact that she was able to account for all of these things happening. And then she's even able to say that three men came in and they didn't partake. They they just came in and there was even somebody that came in and tried to to tell everybody to get out or whatever. If she's having all of these details, it's really hard to go back and be like, "Well, it's still a up law because even if she voluntarily did all these drugs and this alcohol, she was clearly not coherent enough to to truly give consent." She's like, "Really? I know people that can't even tell you what they had for breakfast yesterday. This could say, "Yeah, so and so, so and so, and so and so came in there. They ain't me.

44:19I did want to do two different threesomes. Bro came in, tried to stop it, but I guess they were texting or something because next thing I know I'm catching dick again. You feel me? It's just like it feels like she was fairly coherent. It feels like she kind of knew what was going on. It's just I don't know. That just jumped out at me just now

44:41To say the pictures of these young men who have not been charged,

44:46Not been adjudicated, are being plastered all over the internet. I think people are reporting this story inaccurately. I think they're reporting it unfairly. And while this is something that we have to take very seriously, there is no way, according to her statement in 2024, that any prosecutor would have brought Yeah, but she was intoxicated. had a change. Under New York law, again, under New York law, Voluntary intoxication, if you voluntarily drink 10 beers, Yeah. And you voluntarily ingest ketamine. Yeah. But that intoxication,

45:21That that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the guys attacked her, whether she's drunk or not. No. According to her statement, she says she

45:29Did they did not attack her. her statement in 2024. She um my issues with this New York to the sexual activity. She consented to it according to her own statement in 2024. Now, I prosecuted sex crimes for 10 years. I believe women. I am not saying that we shouldn't believe her, but in 2024, she said some one thing and now in 202.

45:52I wonder why she would even report this if she didn't believe that there was some criminality involved. Oh my god. Who which one was that? That's why I can't even keep up with who be saying what. They're all so stupid. Oh my god. That I don't think that was the the tape brothers girl. She just respond she her response to all of that She was like, "Hey." In her own words, she was saying, "Yeah, I did consent to all of this." Like she she said straight up. And then instead of at all acknowledging any of that, she like, "Yeah, but I'm just wondering why she would even go there if something wasn't going on." Clearly, I think clearly she misunderstood the law. She thought that for some reason she was going to be able to I don't know. What do you get out of that? I'm not sure. But we can't sit here and act like it's zero women that have ever falsely claimed to be assaulted.

46:56You know, I don't know what they get out of that either. Who knows? Who knows exactly what happened? But for you to just ignore the fact that in her own words, she consented to it even later again was able to have all these different details and can account for who exactly came in the room. Not just who was on top of her, but who's to the side and who didn't, you know, decide to to partake or whatever the I I don't even know. Like my mind is going like now I'm seeing it different compared to how she first started the video talking about u and seven seven people gang raped with a shrill ass voice like that. Like the picture I saw there was like some dark room. This poor passed out woman. Like it's like okay now you know what I mean? Like you're painting the picture a little bit different. trying to get into two different threesomes. And again, I'm not sitting here saying like, "Oh, that's that's a good type of culture to have." It's just like, you know what I mean?

47:53Like, the you want us to do about it? Live and let live. You know what I mean? What does she if that's what she wants to do? Again, let it be a guy. Let a guy have plans to get up. Go to a party 10 beers deep. I'm going to start hitting some ketamine lines. And you know what? I got two sets of pairs of women that are down for threesomes and we're texting about it. Yeah, I'm going to have two different threesomes. Bro going to end up dabbing up everybody he tells about it. He's going to end up telling his I don't know his grandkids one day about how much of a stud he was back when he was in college. and he's going to bring up the fact that he had two threesomes in one night while drunk and on ketamine. It's a brag when it's a guy. But when a woman wants to do it, you know what I mean? It's like, well, how could she consent? She's like, bro, I don't know.

48:51I don't I don't know. It's like, how is she even coherent? It's like, clearly she can handle her Clearly, this is a partyier. I'm just letting you know right now. You don't go and do ketamine for the first time ever off of somebody's body parts and then let them start doing it off of you. That was a pro. This wasn't her first time at this damn rodeo. They have not investigated further. I think people should read her statement. They did investigate it. They dealt with what they had.

49:19The university did the college and the law protect and argue that somebody who we know when she arrived had had 10 drinks. How could you? This is the law. Sunny is absolutely right on this. How could you possibly consent? How could you possibly be in a decision-making space? My issues with the law there because I I think they might not be able to pay attention. Legal talk comes after what I'm what I find. Oh, we agree. This is

49:43But the most glaring thing I see is all any and all of the men in that room or that came in or that were around or got that Snapchat, their humanity rings first, not the law. Their humanity says, "Wow, this woman doesn't seem to be awake right now. This would be wrong. and they help all the young men all of it needs to I guarantee you no girl. It's like they're not It's like they're intentionally not listening.

50:09Like that's what they're that's what the law is. Like if she wasn't awake, that is rape. That like you got it. If she didn't consent, even if she voluntarily did drugs and was drunk, that's still rape. Like that's that like all of that is still true. she wasn't passed out to say that humanity should come first and to just see that yes like I you would hope again what should and what you think would happen often times unfortunately are two different things. Yes, you would hope like if this was somebody I love or if I saw somebody, you know, in a situation like that or if anybody that I know that saw like I would hope that they would be that person, but you really don't you really don't know, right? Like this one in three women. Like, it's clearly enough people that wouldn't be that way.

51:08But this isn't this isn't what that was. This wasn't some girl who was passed out and guys are texting and say, "Hey, come on down. It's your turn. This wasn't one of those. The girl was was awake. She was able to to tell you play by play. Yes, I planned this. I planned that. Uh these people came in, they weren't a part of it. This one guy comes in, he tried to stop it or whatever. Like, I don't know that I still would have questions. I do think there should be an investigation. Why did that guy try to stop it if nothing was going on? Maybe it was her boyfriend. I don't know. Maybe that's why she was feeling especially hoish that night. I don't I don't I don't know. I I just I just don't. But it's like they're purposefully ignoring the actual facts of the case. And then that's why so many people have gotten upset at Sunny Holen for pointing out said facts.

52:05Drunk or not drunk wants seven guys assaulting her. Nobody wants that. I will just tell you again I'm relax I'm not Yeah clear your throat. Godamn.

52:15I would hope that you watch that you watch Jimmy Neutron. What's the what was her name? Miss the damn teacher. I don't remember her name. Hello class. That's that bro. Like what the Nobody wants to be taken by seven people. I I don't know. I'm going be real. What? What's that one girl that went around and got railed by like a hundred men or some like that? It was something crazy. I'm I'm gonna be real. You You don't know that. There's There's probably plenty of women that would have been like, "Bro, it could have been the Cornell eight. That would have been a good night. I'm fine with that." So, I don't know. Don't speak for everybody just cuz your old ass doesn't want that. Some of these people have just left home. Granny, okay, had a tight leash, never knew their dad. They're finally at a frat party. They're gonna show you how they get down. Who wants to do some ketamine off my navl? Um, Judgy ass.

53:17Our our young men don't behave this way. I I think it's morally wrong. Um, but I'm not judging. This should be against the law.

53:27What I'm saying is if the law were different in New York, it would be a different case. But according to what she said in 2024, she found one of the guys. She says she found one of the guys hot and she agreed to a threesome when she first got there after She didn't have a seven son. No. And also no one agreed a second time.

53:45And son, you said the DA investigated this, but no one from the DA's office was sent to have a conversation with her. A trained special.

53:53She didn't agree to a sevenome. Yeah, She agreed to two threesomes. But I I do got to ask the Cornell 7. I'm trying to do the math. Isn't that just four other people? Cuz it would be two dudes and then two dudes, which debatable if that's really a threesome. It's two dudes and a girl. It's a little different. Maybe that's just me. Where's the seven come from? See, I just don't know enough about this

54:31Victim's unit investigator. Not one conversation. She she she she wrote this one six-page Statement, but there was never any followup to that from anyone. We got to go.

54:44There was actually not for talked about we will when we come back. Welcome back, Ladies. Go at it.

54:50The other thing that is so reprehensible, sorry. I I've just been so obsessed with this story and going down this rabbit hole, but this young woman wanted to leave Cornell and she apparently, according to her attorney, is not from a wealthy family. And so they asked the university after this traumatizing thing happened to have her tuition refunded and the university denied. Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay. Turn turn this off.

55:18What? And if I could, I'd be blinking all dramatically trying to figure out what the she just said. And she doesn't come from a wealthy family. And because of everything that happened where she went and said she got raped, but then when she was telling the story about how she got raped, she said, "Really? I just got drunk and drug was really drugged up by somebody else. Somebody drugged you?" No, I was just doing drugs and I met this guy and he was hot and I just wanted to have a threesome and I'm like it. Let's do another threesome. And then it's like I don't know. I maybe probably shouldn't have done that, but please can I just not go here anymore? Everybody's calling me a Everybody's just saying that that that it's my fault. Can I get my money back? What the You didn't just ask if you could leave cuz yes, you could leave. Feel free to leave. You want your money back, Cornell isn't just like some community college.

56:20You should be smart enough to know this. This wasn't going to happen. What? You really You really thought I don't I don't think I don't think Sunny did nothing. What? What did she do? She just said, "Hey, by the way, in her own words, she she didn't get raped. Shut the up." She didn't want to be gang raped by seven individuals, men, monsters, and they haven't been taught to be like girls. I don't think Sunny did nothing too crazy. That's just me. That's just me. And she she felt like she had to defend herself a little bit.

57:02Uh developments continue to come out of these sexual assault allegations at Cornell University. the school's president spoke out for the first time in a video message, right? Uh promising a transparent investigation and acknowledging that the school must do better. Um you've pointed out this New York law, which you said absolutely has to be changed because it really Has to be changed. Um it it makes it incredibly difficult to to prosecute anybody.

57:25It's true. You know, um let me start by saying this because because you know, you've known me for a long time, Brian. I see things when it comes to the law. Uh,

57:36You know what, Sunny? I got you. I can actually I can finish your speech. I I see things a little bit differently than most people. Um, sometimes I look at facts and I weigh them out against my feelings. And sometimes when they don't match, I lean more towards the facts instead of my feelings. And you know me, you know I'm a good person. For some reason, people are saying I'm not a good person. I am. People are saying I don't believe women. I'm a woman. one of the real ones, one of the OGs, the original parts, if you catch my drift. I believe women. Okay, I am here to say that the laws are up. I was just pointing out the law. The law is what is the bad guy here. Let's just think about the law.

58:33All right? Because maybe even though she consented, the law should be changed where because she was on um you know ketamine, even though she was the one saying, "I GOT KETAMINE. COME DO SHOTS OFF OF ME." I don't know. Allegedly. Who knows? It just seems like that type of right? Type of that goes to a bar and it'll be the only one that says, "I want to ride the mechanical bull." Even though it's like all busted down, looks like it doesn't really work, but she's like, "Fuck it. I know I won't get thrown off." And then she like bust her teeth out or some like that. And then she still says she's fine to drive home and wants to suck your dick and it kind of feels better because there aren't teeth there and it's smoother, a little bit more refreshing. Either way, this is just an unfortunate thing that happens when you have a law like this in New York. So don't don't cancel, Sunny. Think about the laws of New York that say that women are not smart enough to voluntarily do drugs, get drunk, choose to have consensual sex, and then regret it the next day.

59:41Sorry. That's something only men can do when they're that bag with legs and the next day they realize they made a terrible, terrible mistake.
